Nowadays, catching fish without a feeder, even with a float rod, is an empty task. Often it is necessary to create a stern cloud (spot) not at the bottom, but in the water column. This is necessary in order to interest peaceful fish, which can guarantee an active bite.

In connection with these, many anglers use feeders on float gear. We can say that this is a variant of the bottom fishing rod, but with a float. Such tackle allows you to supply food to any water horizon in order to actively attract even inactive fish.

Float rod with a feeder: how to make

To build such a tackle, you will need the following separate elements:

• Sliding float, with dough 20-30 grams.
• Sliding feeder, same weight.
• Fishing line (cut) about 30 centimeters long.
• Pair of hooks.
• Material for the manufacture of leashes.
• knitting wire.

A sliding float and a feeder can be easily purchased at a fishing store, after which they are attached to a fishing rod at home. The store sells floats with a carrying capacity of more than 20 grams.

In order not to waste money, it is permissible to make this type of float yourself using a foam ball and a plastic tube.

The procedure is as follows:

• First you need to take a plastic tube (you can use a gel pen), 3 mm in diameter and about 20 cm long. The tube can be covered with a bright waterproof varnish.
• Inside a foam ball, up to 5 cm in diameter, a through hole is made with a sharp object.
• Part of the tube is coated with waterproof glue and tightly inserted into the hole in the ball.
• A sliding feeder is taken with a load inside.

With the help of a float rod with a feeder, it is permissible to fish from any distance, as well as from a boat. Instead of cake, you can use roasted seeds, which should be ground in a coffee grinder: the effect will be even better. As a basis, you can take a ready-made factory bait for fishing on the feeder for crucian carp, bream or roach. As a rule, this is a small-fraction bait, which should include biscuit and breadcrumbs. Optionally, boiled peas or millet are added to such bait.

Millet does not have to be boiled, but it is enough to pour boiling water over it and hold it for at least 6 hours. Peas should be boiled for at least half an hour until fully cooked. These components are added to the bait, depending on the nature of the bite of the fish.

The use of a feeder with bait always gives a positive result, especially in cases where the angler throws tackle at the same point. Therefore, the bait with a hook is always in the zone of activity of the fish.

The consistency of the bait should be such that fishing conditions are taken into account. When fishing on stagnant water, the bait should be loose, such as “Geyser”, which, falling into the water, begins to open itself.
