Flexible “iPhone Fold” 2023
Apple is developing a device in a completely new form factor for the company. We figure out how the flexible “iPhone Fold” that could be released in 2023 could turn out.

The idea of a foldable phone has been on the minds of device makers for years. And rightly so – such a smartphone will be different from 99% of all devices on the market, which means it will attract the attention of users. Another thing is that right now, technology is not yet ready for such major changes, and the complaints of the owners of the first phones with folding screens on Android confirm this.1.

Apple, in its usual manner, is in no hurry with the production of foldable devices. The company is well aware of the seriousness of reputational risks and is trying to bring the technology to an impeccable state. However, they failed to completely conceal the development of a flexible “iPhone Fold”. Healthy Food Near Me has collected all the relevant information about the first-ever smartphone with a folding screen from the famous American company.

Flexible iPhone Concept

Now there are two types of smartphones with a folding screen – one opens vertically, like a “clamshell” from the 90s, and the second horizontally, like a small notebook. It is not known for certain which of the two concepts Apple will use, but there are unverified rumors on the net about a horizontal option.2

There is also information that in 2023 the American company will produce from 15 to 20 million copies of the “iPhone Fold”. This is reported by authoritative insider Kuo Ming Chi3, citing internal documents to Apple’s major investors.

It is noteworthy that the novelty will use OLED screens from Samsung, Apple’s longtime competitor. With any concept, the main thing for Apple will be to ensure the durability of the foldable design. “On paper” similar devices from Samsung can withstand up to 200 thousand flexion-extension, but in reality they can break earlier. Given the rather high price for such new items (from 159 thousand rubles for the Galaxy Fold 3), this is unacceptable.

Release date of flexible iPhone in Our Country and in the world

As mentioned above, the “iPhone Fold” will be presented at least in 2023. Following the traditions of Apple, this will happen at the autumn presentation – smartphones are shown in September. By October 2023, the smartphone may appear on open sale. However, the release date of the flexible iPhone may change and, most likely, in the direction of increasing the development time.

Flexible iPhone Specifications

It is difficult to name the exact specifications of the future smartphone right now, but you can dream up a little, based on the logic of the production of Apple smartphones.

If we talk about the processor or the amount of RAM and internal memory of the “iPhone Fold”, then nothing conceptually new awaits us here. Most likely, the smartphone will receive an A16 or A17 Bionic processor, 4 to 6 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of main memory. These iPhone updates are received annually.

With a folding screen, everything will be much more interesting. Most likely, the device will receive a 7,5-8 inch OLED display4. By that time, the notch with sensors may completely disappear from the screen, and a fingerprint sensor under the display will be used to unlock it. The camera can be moved to the corner of the display. The screen itself, when unfolded, will most likely be monolithic, with hinges hidden inside the case5. Due to the nature of the display, it will need to be protected by a strong but bendable protective glass.

In fact, the new “iPhone Fold” can have two screens at once – in a similar Samsung model, it is located on the outside of the case.
