Fitball for the press

A huge inflatable ball called fitball is a favorite simulator of Hollywood and Russian stars. Still would! After all, with the help of this toy, you can “blind” yourself to a sexy tummy: pump up your abs and say goodbye to folds. WDay.ru reveals the secrets of a cheap but extremely useful exercise machine.

Fitball (or resist-a-ball) has become a real friend of fashionistas – it’s not for nothing that actress Mena Suvari and singer Christina Aguilera have long acquired colorful balls and prefer fitball gymnastics to all other types of fitness.

Probably, when the great Picasso painted the picture “The Girl on the Ball”, he did not at all imagine that after several decades thousands of girls, girls, women, grandmothers and even men would perform similar circus elements on rubber balls. He would only know that now such balls are used as huge inflatable simulators!

The fitball has many functions: it is both a gymnastics apparatus and an exercise machine for relaxation therapy after a hard day.

The history of fitball began in the 60s, when rubber balls for children’s games began to be produced in factories in Italy. So this ball would have remained just a toy, if the owner of the Swiss School of Physiotherapy Dr. Susanne Klein-Vogelbach (Dr. Susanne Klein-Vogelbach) did not develop a cycle of aerobic exercises with fitball.

Since then, in the West, fitball is called Swiss ball (or exercise ball) and is used in many spheres of life: directly in sports as an apparatus for gymnastics; in offices instead of a chair (the ball is fixed on a special chair) and at home for relaxation therapy after a hard day. Also, resist-a-ball aerobics is recommended for pregnant and lactating women.

The simulator is easy to use. Even children will be able to deal with this toy under the supervision of their parents!

A significant plus of fitball gymnastics is that you do not have to resort to the help of an instructor or attend training – just put the ball at home and do the exercises yourself. In addition, the resist-a-ball is convenient to take on trips – the deflated ball will even fit into a handbag.

Before choosing a fitball in a sports store, decide on the size – the parameters of the simulator vary from 35 to 85 cm in diameter. The taller the person, the larger the simulator should be: for example, with a height of 165 cm, a ball with a diameter of 55 cm would be ideal.

The main exercises on fitball are rolls, bends, twists, lifts and bridges.

Basically, rolls, bends, twists, lifts and bridges are performed on fitball. To begin with, just lie on the ball: 10-15 minutes in this position will relieve tension and pain in the spine. Then you can use the inflatable projectile as a support for push-ups, juggle the ball with your legs while lying down, do “eights” with your hips while sitting and swing the press. Perform each exercise several times for 20-25 approaches. At the advanced level, somersaults and walking on a ball are waiting for athletes.

The effect after such gymnastics will not be long in coming. Correct posture, healthy heart, normalized blood pressure, thin waist and excellent mood are guaranteed to you!
