Fishing in the Saratov region: the best places for fishing

Presence of reservoirs

In the Saratov region, there are up to 2 rivers, including the largest of them – the Volga River. The main fish of the Volgograd reservoir is roach, which is caught both from a boat and from the shore, at any time of the year. In these places, crucian carp, weighing up to one and a half kilograms, as well as perch, weighing up to 1 kg, are easily caught on a hook. To do this, it is enough to find a grass and shell bottom.

Although there are not so many fishing bases, but in the Saratov region, the best fishing is celebrated on the reservoirs, since there is enough fish for everyone here.

Ilovlya river

The river flows through the Krasnoarmeisky district and is not at all large in size, but the landscapes on the river are picturesque, not the right word. In addition, there is a sufficient number of very diverse fish in the Ilovlya River.

The banks of the river are densely overgrown with reeds, so it is better to have a boat, then there is a high probability of catching large fish. As a rule, all large fish prefer to stay at some distance from the shore.

Chardym

The river also flows through picturesque places. A characteristic feature is that there are many islands on the river. Chardym – translated means “forest river”, which also attracts many vacationers. What is most interesting is that even trout is found in the river, although it is rare and not large in size. Favorable periods for fishing are spring and autumn, when the water is as clear as possible.

From May to October, chub is actively caught in the Chardym River, which attracts the bulk of fishing enthusiasts.

No less often a pike comes across spinning, weighing up to 5 kilograms. On this river, it is customary to fish from the shore and at the same time you need to behave quietly.

Whip

This village is located about 70 km from the regional center. Within this settlement, the Volga River is distinguished by its great depth and fast flow. In addition, there are a lot of different islands in these places, which differ in shape and size. People call this part of the Volga the Bermuda Triangle. Often in the village of Usovka competitions are held among fishing enthusiasts and even at a high, all-Russian level.

Unfortunately, not everywhere is it possible to fish from the shore, so it is better to have a boat. At great depths, in the Gusikha and Kayukovskaya channels, trophy pikes, catfish and pike perches hunt. On the braids you can see how the asp, chub and perch hunt. In places heavily overgrown with algae, you can catch pike weighing up to 12 kg. As a rule, this is true for the Tula and Gateway backwaters.

Vyazovka

Fishing in Vyazovka is different in that a special base is equipped here and you can catch fish, but not for free. Especially interesting fishing in this place in winter from the ice.
