The reservoirs of the Perm Territory attract many lovers of fishing, and this is not surprising, since there are up to 30 thousand rivers and other reservoirs, with a total area of about 11 and a half thousand hectares. What is most important is that there are a lot of fish here, and what kind of fish. Valuable fish species such as grayling, taimen, trout, etc. predominate in the reservoirs of the Perm Territory.
Local anglers tend to fish in these areas since childhood. These places have a good prospect for the development of fisheries. In addition to rare and valuable species of fish, perch, bream, pike perch, pike, ide, catfish and other fish species are found everywhere.
There is another factor that attracts both local and visiting anglers – these are the conditions created for fishing, as well as for recreation, despite such a factor as the inaccessibility of many places. Here, the main modes of transport are all-terrain vehicles and helicopters. Because of this, competitiveness among anglers is quite low, but the feeling of fishing is such that it cannot be described in words. The main thing is that there are a lot of fish, and trophy specimens predominate. A similar factor, like a magnet, attracts fishermen and just vacationers to the Perm Territory.
Rivers for free fishing in the Perm region
As mentioned above, in the Perm region there are a huge number of rivers and lakes, as well as 3 huge reservoirs. Therefore, anglers have every opportunity to fish and relax, either with the whole family or with friends.
In the reservoirs of the Perm Territory there are about 40 species of fish, including valuable ones, as well as those for which fishing is currently partially or completely prohibited. The most important thing is that you can fish here absolutely free of charge, although there are also paid reservoirs.
Fishing on the Kama
The Kama River is considered the most important river in the Perm Territory. On the banks of this river every day you can see a large number of fishermen who are waiting for the bite of trophy fish specimens. The Kama flows into the Volga and is considered the largest tributary of this, one of the largest rivers. The only problem is that it is impossible to catch any fish on the river when it goes to spawn, and even more valuable. At the same time, you need to know which species of fish should not be caught at all. The upper part of the river is distinguished by the fact that the water in it is quite clean, since there is no industry here and there is no one to pollute the river.
If we take the lower section of the river as a comparison, then things in this section are somewhat worse due to the operation of the thermal power plant. Despite the fact that the water in this section of the river is dirtier, you can still catch fish here, such as bream, pike perch, roach, sabrefish, etc. As for the middle part of the river, it is practically of no interest to fishermen, since here the number of fish is somewhat less.
Fishing on the Vishera River
The Vishera River is distinguished by the fact that its channel is divided, very conditionally, into 3 parts. The first part is mountainous, with a fast current, the second part, with a weaker current, is semi-mountainous, and the third part is flat, with a weak current. The lower part of the river just flows through the flat terrain.
The mountainous sections of the river are dominated by such fish as minnow, grayling, burbot, taimen and other fish species that prefer fast flow and crystal clear water with plenty of oxygen.
There is a lot of grayling in the river, but the taimen is listed in the Red Book as an endangered species. If he gets hooked, then it is better to let him go, otherwise there may be problems with the law. In this river there is a sculpin, which is a natural indicator of the purity of the water. But these are not the only fish species prohibited from being caught.
Fishing on the river Sylva
The Sylva River flows into the Chusovaya River and is the largest tributary of this river. The third part of the river flows through the Sverdlovsk region, and two thirds of its part – through the Perm region. The Sylva River is a full-flowing river, with a predominantly silty bottom and many promising areas for fishing, with a complex bottom topography. There are many villages along the banks of the river.
The fish in this river are so diverse that any river in the Perm Territory can envy. There is a lot of zander in the lower part of the river, and it is caught in this area all year round. Bream, sabrefish, pike perch and sterlet are found in the bays of the Sylva River.
Fishing on the Kolva River
The Kolva River is perhaps the best river in the Perm Territory in terms of fishing. No wonder the locals call this river “fish river”. The upper section of the river is located in inaccessible conditions for fishermen, which greatly affects fish stocks. Compared to other rivers, the number of fish does not decrease here. There are quite a lot of grayling, taimen and sterlet on the upper section of the river. The middle section is partially inhabited, but this does not affect the populations of such fish as asp, burbot, perch, pike, etc.
Paid fishing in the Perm region
In the Perm Territory, especially recently, private tourist and fishing bases are springing up like mushrooms after rain. Thanks to this, it is possible to fish all year round in the reservoirs of this region, combining fishing with outdoor activities.
Paid fishing is a very popular service these days. For not a lot of money, you can get at your disposal a whole range of services that will provide a tourist or fisherman with an excellent place for fishing and recreation. At the same time, you can stay in comfortable conditions for several days, without fear of freezing somewhere near a river or lake. In addition, there is a whole arsenal here in order to get to the most inaccessible fishing spots, using boats in summer and snowmobiles in winter.
Here fishing does not stop all year round. It is especially worth noting the fact that whitefish are caught here in winter. Therefore, we can safely say that, regardless of the season, not a single fisherman who uses the services of a paid reservoir will be left without a catch.
Fishing and tourist bases are scattered throughout the Perm region and can be found on any river or lake. There are camp sites that practice breeding many types of fish, including valuable ones. Moreover, the Perm Territory is famous not only for its excellent conditions for paid fishing.
Other areas of tourism and recreation are also actively developing here. Hunters and just tourists who want to relax in nature from the bustle of the city feel good here. All conditions for a useful pastime have been created at the recreation centers: here you can visit a bath or sauna, spend time playing billiards or sit in a restaurant or bar.
Recreation center “Obava”
The recreation center is located on the Obava River, which is why it received the same name. It is located 120 km from the regional center, in the Ilyinsky district, in the village of Krivets. The main objective of the recreation center is ecotourism. In fact, this is a fishing and hunting base. Both fishermen and hunters will not be left without their trophies. Many species of both predatory and peaceful fish are caught on the river, and waterfowl are waiting for hunters.
Vacationers live in wooden houses, which are heated by stoves. They are also suitable for cooking. Despite this, there are also electric stoves.
Of particular interest to tourists are Russian baths, which can be visited in groups of several people. The bases have all the conditions for playing sports.
The recreation center “Obava” is open throughout the year, and you can get to it by car, without any problems and in any weather.
Fishing base “Quiet Valley”
To visit this fishing base, you will have to go to the village of Istekaevka, Suksunsky district, Perm region. The territory of the base has several stocked ponds, where trout fish predominate, which is the main prey for anglers. The houses are located in a pine forest in the immediate vicinity of the reservoir. Up to 60 people can rest here at the same time, in two or six local cozy, comfortable rooms.
On the territory of the base there is a bathhouse, as well as a good restaurant, which is dominated by dishes of European cuisine. It provides both summer and winter fishing services, with the possibility of using ATVs, in summer and in winter – snowmobiles.
Recreation center “Forest Fairy Tale”
This base is located within the village of Ust-Yazva, Krasnovishersky District, Perm Territory, where the organization of summer and winter fishing, as well as weekend tours, is practiced.
Since the base is located in a place where such rivers as Vishera and Yazva merge, fishing for such fish as taimen, grayling, burbot, pike and other fish species is especially popular here, but not so valuable. On the territory of the base there is a bathhouse and a sauna, as well as a swimming pool where you can have a great time.
Recreation center “Ural bouquet”
The recreation center is located on the banks of the Shirokovsky reservoir, which is fed from the Kosva River. This reservoir has always attracted anglers, as trophy fish are caught here.
In the absence of fishing tackle, they can be rented. In addition, you can order a winter walk on snowmobiles. As for the summer period, there are all conditions for summer walks on various boats. In winter, anglers enjoy catching whitefish, and in summer, other types of fish, both peaceful and predatory, are caught here.
Fishermen from all over the country, as well as from neighboring countries, come to paid reservoirs. All recreation centers are distinguished by the fact that I do everything to make the tourist feel comfortable, and rest and fishing give them a lot of pleasure. And this is despite the fact that fishing here is associated with certain difficulties, since it is difficult to get to the most promising places without special equipment. And on the other hand, maybe this is good, because it is possible to save the populations of many fish, against the backdrop of a general passion for fishing. This is all the more relevant in our time due to the fact that anglers are armed with the most modern fishing gear.
Recreation centers are also designed for ordinary tourists or just vacationers who want to spend their free time to their advantage, exploring the sights and untouched nature of the Perm Territory. There are still plenty of such corners on the land of Permians, especially since all conditions have been created for this, with the presence of all the necessary equipment. Almost all recreation centers practice constant trips on ATVs in summer or on snowmobiles in winter. The Perm Territory is quite harsh, especially in winter, so traveling here without special equipment is unrealistic.
For those who love extreme sports, all conditions are also created, but not by man, but by nature itself. In this case, everyone should rely on their strengths and their capabilities. Naturally, the deeper you go into the impenetrable wilderness, the greater the chances of catching large fish, but you need to remember the dangers that can lie in wait for a person literally at every step. Unfortunately, there are also such thrill-seekers.
