Fish is one of the most important food items. It contains a lot of useful substances, goes very well with a variety of types of side dishes. Many types of fish have excellent taste. In addition, fish is less caloric than meat and is more easily absorbed by the body, so it must be included in the diet of people in need of dietary nutrition. This product can be used to make excellent first and second courses, as well as light snacks such as salads.
Boiled fish salad with vegetables
For this dish you will need the following ingredients: – 250-300 grams of boiled fish (river or sea fish, with dense pulp); – 3-4 potatoes cooked in their skins; – 2-3 tomatoes; – 1 sweet pepper; – 1 onion; – 1 bunch of lettuce (for example, the “Moscow” variety); – salt; – ground black pepper; – a little vegetable oil; – a little lemon juice.
Better take extra virgin olive oil, then the salad will turn out to be especially tasty
Mash the flesh of the boiled fish with a fork. Cut the peeled potatoes into small cubes, the tomatoes into thin rings. Peel the onion, cut into thin rings, rinse in cold water and squeeze. Remove the stalk and core with seeds from bell peppers, then cut the pod into thin strips. Rinse lettuce thoroughly in cold water and pick into small pieces by hand.
Transfer all components to a deep container, salt and pepper. Season with a mixture of vegetable oil (2-3 tablespoons) with a teaspoon of lemon juice. Stir, refrigerate, serve.
Herring salad with spicy dressing
For this dish you will need the following ingredients: – about 200 grams of salted herring fillet; – 2 potatoes cooked in their uniform; – 2 hard-boiled eggs; – 1 medium-sized onion; – 1 small boiled carrot; – 2 tablespoons of low-fat sour cream; – 1 a teaspoon of mustard; – 1 teaspoon of grated horseradish; – spices to taste.
Remove the bones from the fish fillet, then cut the herring into small pieces. Cut the peeled potatoes, carrots and eggs into small pieces. Cut the onion into thin half rings. Mix sour cream well with mustard and horseradish.
To remove bitterness from the onion, as in the above recipe, in this case it is not necessary
Put fish, eggs and vegetables in a salad bowl, season with the resulting hot sauce, stir. Remove the sample, add salt and spices to taste. Serve after cooling.
For this dish you will need the following ingredients: – smoked trout fillet; – 2 medium-sized apples; – 2 lettuce leaves; – lemon juice; – 1 tablespoon of butter; – 2 tablespoons of canned lingonberries; – 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar; – 2 tablespoons of nut butter; – salt; – pepper.
Rinse the salad, divide into leaves. Rinse the apples under running water, remove the cores, cut into small slices, and pour over with lemon juice. Dip the fruits in the heated butter, simmer the apples for 2-3 minutes. Refrigerate.
Transfer the lingonberries to a sieve. After the liquid drains, rub the berries with pepper, salt and vinegar, pour in the nut oil. Whisk thoroughly.
Chop the fish fillet. Place a leaf of lettuce on the bottom of a deep dish, put apples, smoked trout. Pour the lingonberry sauce over the salad. The salad prepared according to this recipe has a pungent taste.
