The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment (MAGRAMA) promotes during this week a conference that praises and supports fish products.
During the days November 17-22 they will develop informative activities on fishery products , actions and campaigns in distribution centers and special menus in the hospitality establishments adhered to the campaign.
Today, Monday, the conference opens with the presentation ceremony at the ministry, Paseo de la Infanta Isabel 1, where several presentations related to fish, their current consumers, will be presented, as we find in the menus of restaurants and projects of I + D.
At the end of the event, the contest prize will be awarded “Today fish a la carte” that he summoned MAGRAMA last October and that the winning recipe will finally be known and its inclusion in the digital book “the Fish Festival” that will be published by the portal www.alimentacion.es at the close of the conference.
During the day on Tuesday, a training visit will be made to a company that sells and distributes deep-frozen products as part of the dissemination actions towards distribution centers and hoteliers.
On Wednesday we will have an interesting informative action at the Mercado de la PAZ in Madrid where there will be presentations and talks on the consumption of fish in homes and on the importance of the communities of food lovers (
foodies
) and its role in the innovation of food preparation, accompanying the day with a showcooking with products from fishing.
The children’s public also have their space in these days that help educate and learn about eating habits and how healthy the consumption of seafood can be.
The usual visit to Guadarrama River Nursery-SchoolThis time it will be very wet, making the little ones aware of the importance of fish in the Mediterranean diet, and for an example, they will be able to taste it and check it right there.
The different events are completed in the cities where the campaign takes place, with actions in the distribution centers of Madrid, Logroño, Murcia, Alicante and Huelva. of dissemination of fishery products and specific tastings.
Leisure and training activities will be carried out in the shopping center Prince Pio of Madrid for the general public to be closer to the sea and immortalize it on social networks through selfies and photos that they take during the conference together with the informative material that will be delivered.
