Grenadier fish will easily compete with the usual hake, since its meat is so tender and has a minimum amount of bones. Other names for the grenadier are blue hake and grenadier, the recipes for which there are a great many.
For this recipe, take: – 0,5 kg of fish; – 1 egg; – 30 g of mineral water with gas; – a couple of tablespoons of flour; – salt, black pepper, dried dill; – 50 ml of vegetable oil.
Peel and cut the fish, cut it into portions of the desired, but not too large size. Season with salt and pepper. Beat the egg, mineral water and flour batter. The gases in the mineral water make the dough more airy, and its consistency should not be too liquid in order not to drain from the fish, but also not too thick, otherwise the batter will turn out to be tough. Also add herbs and spices to the batter, then dip each piece in it and fry in hot oil. The more oil there is, the better the batter will take shape, but then before serving the fish, put it on a paper napkin, which will rid the dish of excess oil.
In this recipe, be prepared for the fish to decrease in volume by at least half, as it consists mostly of water, so stack the pieces as tightly as possible.
– 1 kg of fish; – 0,5 kg of carrots; – 3 onions; – a couple of bay leaves; – salt and pepper to taste; – 100 g sour cream; – 100 g grated cheese; – 50 g water.
Peel the fish and cut into pieces 3-4 cm thick. Peel the carrots and onions, grate the carrots on a coarse grater or cut into thin strips. Chop the onion into rings or half rings. Place a layer of carrots on the bottom of a Teflon-coated pan or stainless steel saucepan, on which put the fish, on top of it the onion. Season the fish with salt and pepper. Mix sour cream with water, pour this mixture over the fish, put on fire. Simmer the fish for 30 minutes, sprinkle it with hard cheese 5 minutes before cooking for a delicious crust. The whole preparation of the grenadier will take no more than 40 minutes.
To prepare a dish according to this recipe, use: – 1 kg of grenadier fish; – 0.5 kg of potatoes; – 2-3 onions; – salt, black pepper; – 100 g of cheese; – 300 g of sour cream.
This recipe is the easiest to prepare a grenadier. To do this, peel the fish and potatoes, in a baking dish in the oven, make a layer of potatoes, put the pieces of the grenadier on it, salt and pepper. Place the onion rings on top of the fish and rub hard cheese on top. If the sour cream is thick enough, add a little water to it so that this mixture can be poured over the potatoes with fish. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and place the casserole dish in it for half an hour.
