The main purpose of a woman, as laid down by nature, is the continuation of the family. During life, there are significant changes, restructuring in the body of a girl, girl, woman. With the onset of puberty, cyclic changes occur in the girl’s genitals every month, the inner layer (endometrium) grows in the uterus so that the fertilized egg can easily attach, pregnancy occurs. If pregnancy does not occur, then the uterus rejects the excess inner layer, menstruation occurs.

Bloody discharge from the genital tract in a sexually mature girl, a woman, which recurs with a cycle of 24 to 38 days, approximately in the same volume (no more than 80 ml), with the same duration (from 4,5 to 8 days) .

The modern world does not always favorably affect the female body. Social and living conditions, environmental changes, the use of processed foods, stress, violation of the work and rest regime negatively affect the development of children, adolescents and adults. This is an unfavorable factor contributing to the development of hormonal disorders in the genital area, the occurrence of neoplasms, miscarriage, which can be manifested by bloody discharge from the uterine cavity, which is called abnormal uterine bleeding. Abnormal uterine bleeding occurs due to many reasons.

Causes of abnormal uterine bleeding

1. Functional

  • as a result of a violation of blood clotting;
  • ovulatory dysfunction;
  • endometrial changes;
  • with improperly selected hormonal support.

2. Organic (as a result of neoplasms)

Signs of uterine bleeding

  • Abundant bleeding from the genital tract with clots (more than 5-6 pads per day and more than 1 pad at night);
  • Bleeding that occurs outside of the normal menstrual cycle;
  • Bloody discharge in pregnant women;
  • The admixture of blood in the secretions of girls who have not reached puberty;
  • Bloody discharge from the genital tract in older menopausal women not taking hormone replacement therapy.

Intense blood loss in a short period of time is dangerous for the occurrence of shock and requires urgent action.

Symptoms of heavy bleeding

  • Paleness, cyanosis of the lips;
  • Weakness, dizziness to loss of consciousness;
  • Cold clammy sweat;
  • Increased heart rate or inability to feel the pulse on the radial artery;
  • Nausea.

Help

If symptoms of profuse uterine bleeding occur, accompanied by signs of blood loss, it is necessary:

  • Call an emergency ambulance;
  • Put the woman on a horizontal surface, put a roller under her legs so that they are above the level of the body;
  • Give warm sweetened drink in frequent small sips;
  • Put cold on the lower abdomen in the form of a cold bottle of water, ice wrapped in a cloth, observing time intervals of up to 10-15 minutes with breaks of up to 5 minutes.

In the future, the woman is hospitalized in a medical facility for specialized care.
