1. Pay attention to the labeling of your cosmetic packaging. Select packaging with the appropriate label.
This is a triangle of arrows with numbers located at the bottom of the bottle or on the label.
We accept bottles, vials and jars from cosmetics of any color, shape and manufacturer with markings:
- 1/ PET/PETE/PET/PET. A distinctive feature is a convex dot at the bottom.
- 2/HDPE/PE HD/HDPE. A distinctive feature is a characteristic seam from soldering at the bottom.
- 5/PP/PP.
If the packaging is not labeled or does not match the list above, unfortunately we will not be able to recycle it.
Pay attention!
Packaging labeled C/PET, C/HDPE, C/PP is made of mixed plastic and therefore cannot be accepted for recycling. Most often, these are soft tubes of cream. Please do not bring packages marked C / … – the pharmacy employee has the right to refuse to accept such containers.
2. If there is a dispenser on the package, remove it. The cover does not need to be removed.
The dispenser is made up of different types of plastic and contains hard-to-separate metal parts that can damage equipment during recycling.
Save the dispenser for reuse (for example, your Effaclar Foaming Gel dispenser is perfect for Effaclar Micellar Water 400 ml) or take it to a specialized collection point for difficult waste.
3. Look carefully at the label: it is better to remove the shrink film. Other types of labels do not need to be removed.
If the label tightly fits the bottle in the form, as in the photo below, it must be removed – such a film is not recycled, and it cannot be mechanically separated at the stage of raw material preparation, like other types of labels.
If the label is paper, in the form of a sticker, etc., it does not need to be removed.
4. Wash the packaging before taking it for recycling.
There are two reasons for this. First, greasy products, such as creams and hair masks, can ruin a recyclable batch. It is very important to clean the packaging of their residues. The remains of foaming gels, shampoos and other products will not spoil the future secondary material, however, you will take the packaging to the pharmacy, where it will be on the trading floor for some time, and then it will be further sorted and transported. It is important for us that the pharmacy staff and our pickers feel comfortable working with clean packaging. A pharmacy employee has the right to refuse to accept dirty containers.
Ready! We look forward to welcoming you to our partners’ pharmacies. Thanks for helping us get better!
