PSYchology

Liza, 15 years old, chose Yulia Kuznetsova’s book «Invented Bug»

“I even wore these stories about the life of children in the hospital to show to school — I liked it so much. The main character, Tasha, was given a shunt when she was little, otherwise she would not have survived. It sometimes needs to be changed, and each time it is not known whether it will take root after the operation. Tasha has a friend Anya in the hospital, who has cancer, and they spend long sick days together. A variety of stories happen to them, often very funny! I have never been in such difficult children’s departments — oncology, neurosurgery … and I was surprised that children also play there, laugh, even fall in love! I recently caught a cold and felt so sorry for myself … And then I saw that all my suffering is nothing compared to real illnesses. It just struck me: I felt so ashamed of my whims! It turns out that the children in the hospital are much stronger than us healthy ones, and they manage to truly enjoy life. And dads are depicted very poignantly in the book. I realized that it is very difficult for men when their children are seriously ill: after all, it is not customary for them, like mothers, to be there all the time and feel sorry for the children — they are far away, at work, and they have to convey their love in a different way. .
