According to Feng Shui, a rectangle or square is a favorable shape for any room and apartment as a whole. In this case, there are no problems, since most of the rooms in apartment buildings in Russia are rectangular. If there is a so-called fifth corner in the room, it will be possible to “get rid” of it due to a certain decor or a special arrangement of interior elements. Or, you should resort to radical changes with the help of redevelopment.
To level the ceiling, you can use special wallpaper or install a suspended or stretch ceiling. According to feng shui, all ceiling defects must be hidden.
Of the lighting fixtures on the ceiling, a crystal chandelier should be preferred. Crystal is able not only to generate energy, but also to distribute it evenly throughout the room. If the room is divided into several zones, then each of them should have its own light source.
When furnishing an apartment, it must be remembered that upholstered furniture should adjoin the back to the walls, and from any sitting place the entrance to the room should be visible. There should be no furniture in the center of the room. The only exception is a small coffee table with an elegant vase on it as a symbol of well-being.
It is worth giving up stuffed animals, African masks and tragic paintings like “The Apotheosis of War”. The interior should be light and evoke only positive emotions, so it is better to give preference to colorful landscapes and multi-colored figurines.
It is important to define a “happy place” in the house and decorate it in a special way. Your intuition will tell you which part of the house will fulfill this role.
In the East, red is considered one of the most favorable colors. It symbolizes vitality, prosperity and wealth, so it is good if the color red is present in the interior. These can be cushions on sofas, carpets, accessories like a scarlet rose on the table or red lamps to create a romantic atmosphere.

Thus, it is better to replace white in the interior with beige or milky. In turn, black absorbs energy. This does not mean that you will have to completely abandon its use, but it does not need to be abused either. Give up black when decorating a child’s room. It is also recommended to use yellow (this is a symbol of longevity) and green, personifying growth and development.
