Fencing for children is a safe sport, since the equipment used guarantees the absence of injuries. You can enroll a baby no earlier than 6-8 years old, since certain skills must have time to form for this sport.
This noble sport is associated with sword knights, historical figures and heroes of adventure films. Swordsmanship develops not only physical capabilities, but also analytical thinking.

The disadvantages of the lessons include the fact that not every child is suitable for this sport. Babies with musculoskeletal disorders will not be able to cope with the stress. There are also vision limitations. A high concentration on the process can cause psychological stress. Another drawback is asymmetry. The child works at an angle. Long-term stress on one side can lead to scoliosis. However, when attending lessons 2 times a week, such problems will not arise.

Swordsmanship is preceded by a long preparation. The trainer will never give the kid even a safe weapon without teaching the basic skills. These include the basics of sword fighting. The child must learn how to properly hold the sword, learn steps and correct strikes. The kid needs equipment that will protect him from the slightest injury.
Sword lessons are not dangerous for a child from 6 years old. This sport develops self-confidence, the ability to make quick decisions, which will affect the future life of a little person.
