Men seem to be always ready for close-ups. Unfortunately, this is different for women whose mood, emotions and body do not allow for close-ups on certain days of the cycle. Of course, there are exceptions, and every woman reacts differently to the hormonal changes that occur in her body during the month. However, it is worth knowing the general effects of hormones on the well-being and libido of women. This may yield many surprising answers!
When do women want close-ups?
Women have the greatest desire for sex during the period of ovulation, a few days before and after this period. This is because it is during this period that a woman is fertile. Fertility marks periods of desire and lack of desire for intercourse. Perhaps it is this fact that affects the well-being of a woman and her interest in the opposite sex at this time. This is also influenced by the fact that during the period of ovulation a woman looks most advantageous. The concentration of hormones is arranged in such a way that the skin is smoothed, has no imperfections, the hair becomes thick and shiny, there is less water in the body than, for example, before menstruation, and therefore a woman feels much more physically attractive.
Menstruation and libido
A woman’s cycle is counted from the first day of bleeding. At this time, the lowest concentrations of estrogen and progesterone are recorded. Low hormone levels correlate with lower libido and feeling even reluctance to make any close-up. Women then expect more warmth and support from their partners, they like to cuddle, feel closeness – but only that much.
Before ovulation and after menstruation
The best time to initiate intercourse is immediately after menstruation and before and during ovulation. Estrogen levels slowly increase while progesterone levels remain low. The woman “comes alive”, becomes more energetic, full of life and optimism. During this period, the level of testosterone responsible for the perceived libido and the level of DHEA – the love hormone – also increase in the female body. The highest concentrations of these hormones are recorded on the tenth day of the cycle – so this is the moment for a woman when libido is the highest, and a woman feels a strong sex drive and looks at a man with a more friendly eye.
Exceptions prove the rules
- In less than 1/3 of women, the mechanisms presented above do not always work, this is due to individual experiences and differences in the structure of female organisms
- Interestingly, in less than 4,5% of women, the greatest desire for close-ups paradoxically appears during menstruation
