It is generally accepted that the feelings of lovers always sound in unison. This is not true: in families where partners do not get along well with each other, stress and negative emotions are much more contagious.
Californian psychologists Laurent Begue and Christine Baudry found that in dysfunctional couples, both partners are in a bad mood at the same time. The lack of mutual understanding prevents one of them from getting rid of the influence of the negative experiences of the other. On the contrary, in harmonious families everyone is emotionally autonomous, so the one who feels good is able to help a partner who has temporarily lost his presence of mind.
