Fecal stones form and remain in the intestines. They are the result of a sedentary lifestyle and too little physical activity. People who have too little fiber in their diet and consume too little fluid are struggling with the problem of fecal stones. You can remove fecal stones using a home enema, and ignoring the problem can lead to serious consequences.
Fecal stones – what is it?
Fecal stones are an acute form of constipation. They lie in the rectum in the form of lumpy stool mass and cannot get out of it. They look like stones, hence their name. They are hard and without water, making it difficult to pass them out with normal intestinal peristaltic movements. Fecal stones form when there is a problem with defecation for a long time. This results in hard stools becoming blocked in the rectum and preventing a bowel movement. The next digested food arrives in large amounts of the stool already accumulated and clumps into a hard mass, causing even more problems with bowel movements. This can happen if there is no stool for several days and I have no way of expelling it, despite numerous attempts. This is a dangerous situation for health, because fecal stones can cause inflammation of the large intestine, and also lead to the formation of hemorrhoids or diverticula. Fecal stones can appear in anyone, in any age group, even in children.

- physical inactivity;
- obesity;
- too little fiber in the diet;
- eating sweets and processed foods;
- hormonal disorders, e.g., hypothyroidism;
- intestinal tumors or other mechanical obstruction within the intestine;
- the use of laxatives, resulting in intestinal laxity;
- taking medicines that slow down your bowel movements (e.g. morphine);
- ion metabolism disorders (e.g. potassium deficiency, excess calcium);
- tumors that occur in the intestines;
- neurogenic disorders.
Fecal stones can also occur in children who have a problem with bowel movements. Kids. If the children’s diet is rich in sweets and low in fiber, fruit, vegetables and too little fluid. Children often stop stools due to stress, which can also lead to the formation of fecal stones.
Fecal stones – symptoms

Their formation is accompanied by flatulence, abdominal pain, a feeling of fullness, lack of appetite, and pain in the anus area. During the excretion of the fecal stones, irritation of the mucosa and the appearance of blood at the anus may occur. Fecal stones may also appear as a result – hemorrhoids, intestinal diverticula, intestinal inflammation.
Fecal stones – treatment
You can fight fecal stones yourself using home remedies such as an anal enema, or an enema, purchased at a pharmacy, to cleanse the colon. Pharmacological treatment includes, among others, fecal softeners (e.g. paraffin, macrogols, lactulose), which make them thinner, and thus easier and faster defecation. If this method is unsuccessful, a mechanical operation should be performed through a procedure performed by a surgeon.
Tea, which is a unique composition of herbs from organic farming, can help with constipation. The infusion helps regulate the digestive tract. You can buy it HERE
However, it should be remembered that the most important is prophylaxis so as not to lead to the formation of fecal stones.
