February 14: DIY hearts

If you have an evening before the holiday, you will still have time to bake something. For example, his favorite cake, cookie or heart-shaped cupcake. Fortunately, such forms in stores are apparently invisible, both traditional detachable and silicone ones. But the gingerbread men with pink valentine hearts will look much more original. The glaze can be made by hand by mixing 2 tbsp. l. icing sugar, 1 tsp. boiling water with a drop of lemon and beet juice.

A homemade garland of paper hearts is suitable for decorating an apartment. It is not necessary to make it out of colored paper – old magazines will do too. To hold the parts together, you will have to cut them, and then glue them discreetly. For density, staple several identical paper blanks into one. Such a garland can be hung over the doorway, and if you have time to make it longer, stretch it along the window or run it along the wall. By the way, the hearts themselves can be of different sizes.

The same hearts will come in handy for decorating a festive table. Put them on tight bottle vases, RїRѕRґSЃRІRμS ‡ RЅRёRєRё, champagne glasses or use as napkin rings. Even by placing such paper hearts on the table in a free order, you will create the right atmosphere. In addition, they can be hung on long straps throughout the apartment, from the lampshade of the table lamp to the toilet paper holder.

And as for miniature hearts – a place where large ones cannot fit. Write on them small wishes, declarations of love or affectionate words to your loved one and, like a real spy, shove them into his things. So that, finding them by chance, your man was provided with pleasant surprises for the whole day. These can be jacket pockets, a wallet, a cell phone case, a folded laptop, a driver’s license, etc. And we suggest starting with a good morning wish on a heart attached to his favorite mug.

Small paper hearts are featured in yet another festive installation – take a few and string them onto a pin or wire. You will get an original flower that can be used as a brooch on the lapel of a jacket or the same pajamas (and why not!). Several of these flowers form a festive bouquet that will look great on the table, at the same time reminding your faithful that you would like to see a bouquet of fresh flowers today …

Have you already thought of a festive breakfast or dinner? No? It doesn’t matter – any dish can be turned into a love poem, you just need to give it the shape of a heart. For morning scrambled eggs, there are special molds, and salad and mashed potatoes can be formed already on a plate (remember how Easter cakes were made in childhood). Cut the hearts from fish or meat fillets, fry – and onto a plate. You can decorate any dish with hearts cut from a slice of cucumber, carrot or boiled beet.

If your loved one starts every morning with a cup of cappuccino – today it is especially in your favor. Take a regular sheet of paper, cut a small heart-shaped hole in it and use it as a stencil. Hold it over a cup of frothy cappuccino, and with your other hand, gently pour cocoa onto a sheet of paper. Thus, a chocolate symbol of love will appear on the creamy foam.

After the coffee surprise is ready, go down the street and decorate the car with valentines. If the night was snowy, it is enough to draw hearts with your hands on the windows and the hood – a trifle, but it will be nice. And do not forget to hang paper hearts with wishes on a distant view mirror and attach a wish of a good trip to the dashboard.
