The US president’s medical adviser warns of an even more dangerous variant of the coronavirus than Delta. “There is a danger that a mutation will arise that cannot be protected against currently available vaccines,” Dr. Anthony Fauci said on Sunday. By avoiding vaccination, he added, we allow the virus to spread and mutate.
“If you let the virus spread unhindered, you’ll probably get a variant sooner or later that will be even more problematic than Delta,” the US president’s chief medical advisor said in an interview with NBC.
