This story was told on his page in the social network by a resident of Bangkok named Poramet Misomfop. He is an Administrative Officer for the Royal Thai Air Force. One day he stopped for a bite to eat at a roadside shop and saw an elderly man on the side of the road, who was sitting under a tree, looking at the cars driving along the road and muttering something to himself.
Barefoot, in an unbuttoned burnt-out shirt, but does not look like a tramp. And the tramp would not just sit still, he would probably ask for alms. And this one seemed to see nothing around, except for cars on the road.
“Who is this?” – Poramet asked the owner of the shop.
She said that the man had been sitting in this place for ten years, no less. One day a car passed by, stopped, a girl got out of it. She opened the car door on the passenger side, pulled the man out and left him on the side of the road. Since then, he has been sitting there. At night, the man leaves somewhere, but every day he returns from the very early morning. The owner of the shop fed him out of pity – she brought him rice, fish, water. And water in some parts of Thailand is worth its weight in gold.
Poramet decided to find out what happened to the elderly man. Took some food for him, came closer. But the old man did not answer the questions. He muttered only one thing: “She will be back soon.” Poram managed only to find out that the girl was the daughter of an abandoned old man. And all these years he has been waiting for her to come back and take him home.
Waiting in vain. But she believes: she will return
More than 25 thousand people read the sad story on Facebook. Some went to that shop to give money to her mistress, because she continued to feed the old man. Many reposted Poramet’s story in the hope that the daughter of an abandoned father would see it.
However, few believe in a successful outcome of history.
“Maybe she got into trouble, in an accident, for example, and could not return,” suggest in the comments.
Nobody wants to believe that the daughter so simply ruthlessly and cynically threw her father out of the car. But it looks like it is.
