PSYchology

A rare woman does not dream of losing weight, but do not rush to lose weight for the sake of a hectic intimate life, scientists from the University of Hawaii (USA) warn.

Led by Bliss Kaneshiro, they studied data from a nationwide survey of American women aged 15 to 44. The researchers identified three groups of women: normal weight (body mass index less than 25), overweight (BMI 25-30) and obese (BMI over 30). The first group included 54% of American women, the second — 25%, the third — 21% (these are those who, with growth, for example, 1,7 m, weigh at least 87 kg). However, even such significant deviations from the norm did not prevent them from finding sexual partners. Overweight and obese women had the same number of them as the rest: six in their entire lives and two in the last year. True, the situation is different for men: over the course of their lives, obese women have almost half as many partners as people with normal weight.
