Probably everyone knows brands such as: McDonald’s, KFC, Burger King or Pizza Hut. Unfortunately, most of the products on their menu are not recommendable. One of the main factors influencing this is, of course, high caloric content. It doesn’t make much sense to dwell on this topic. Just a few examples:
- Classic Box with KFC consisting of large fries, 5 wings, 2 chicken legs and Pepsi is over 1500 kcal. Such a portion covers of the energy demand of an average woman. And if someone is not enough, he can of course take the enlarged set and refill the drink.
- The world-famous Happy Meal set for children, consisting of a hamburger, fries and a shake, has over 700 kcal, 2,7 g of salt and 36 grams of sugar! These amounts are too much for an adult, let alone a child. Fortunately, it is more and more often possible to choose the ingredients of the set and, for example, fries can be replaced with a portion of vegetables or fruit, and a sweet shake with juice or mineral water.
- In fast-food bars, people who are slimming or want to eat healthy have a difficult choice. It would seem that salads would be the best for them. But here too, they must be careful. The salad itself can have 300 kcal, plus a sauce or dip, which, unfortunately, is usually on mayonnaise, i.e. an additional 150 kcal and a light snack makes a quite caloric meal. Including half a teaspoon of salt.
- Drinks are an additional source of calories. And it’s not only about Coca-Cola or Sprite. For example, a large Latte coffee has almost 200 kcal and over 10 g of fat.
Tablespoons of salt and sugar

You could suspect French fries have the most salt. On the contrary, it is in the midst of of all products are among those with the lowest amount of salt (which does not mean that they have little). A sporadic visit to this type of restaurant will probably not be fatal to your health and figure. But there is a high probability that regular eating in this way will affect your health over time.
