Fast food increases the risk of breast cancer

Scientists have found a strong relationship between the amount of junk food consumed and the rate at which cancer cells develop.

The harmfulness of fast food is beyond doubt. It turns out, however, that it can cause much more serious consequences than obesity. Burgers and fries are especially dangerous for adolescents.

Teens who consume a lot of unhealthy food are at a higher risk of breast cancer. Research has shown that unhealthy fats in these types of foods greatly accelerate the growth of cancer cells. Maturing women on such a diet are much more likely to develop aggressive forms of cancer at an early age.

As research team leader Sandra Haslam said, Our research shows that fat is to blame rather than the excess weight it causes.
