facefitness

Many have heard about face fitness, but there are a lot of questions regarding facial gymnastics: who needs it, how it works, and whether it will help you look younger. You will find answers, as well as exercises from a certified trainer, in this article.

What is face fitness and how it works

Face fitness is a set of exercises for the face, which is aimed at harmonizing and restoring the balance of facial muscles lost with age or for other reasons (for example, due to bad facial habits). Its fundamental principle is not to “pump up” the facial muscles, as, for example, in Facebook building, but to balance them.

The fact is that not all facial muscles need toning and strengthening: some of them are in hypertonicity, that is, they are tense, and therefore shortened. Others, on the contrary, are too relaxed. This is the cause of the imbalance, which is visually expressed in the form of sagging skin, folds, wrinkles, creases.

Facefitness proposes to eliminate the root causes of these phenomena through selective toning and relaxation of mimic muscles.

During the exercises, it is important not to throw your head back too far.

Why do you need face fitness

Yulia Saifullina, an international trainer in facial gymnastics and an expert in natural rejuvenation and beauty, is sure that “by practicing exercises, it is really possible to achieve not only rejuvenation, but also facial modeling.” In a relatively short time, you can:

  • tighten the oval of the face;

  • smooth out nasolabial folds;

  • get rid of mimic wrinkles;

  • reduce bags under the eyes;

  • remove the second chin and “bulldog cheeks”.

Properly performed exercise awakens the skin’s own resources:

  • blood circulation is improved;

  • tissues are saturated with oxygen;

  • metabolic processes in the skin are accelerated;

  • improves lymph flow.

As a result, the visual changes listed above occur, plus puffiness subsides, skin color evens out and its quality improves.

With regular classes, a visible result is observed after 1,5-2 months.

Basic principles

  • Age

    For young people, fitness for the face can be practiced as a preventive measure, especially if there is already a tendency to such phenomena as a second chin, wrinkles on the forehead, “crow’s feet” around the eyes. However, face fitness trainers note that in adulthood, the results of the correction (“before” and “after”) are more pronounced.

  • Regularity

    Beginners are recommended to practice every day in order to quickly master the technique of exercises. And then – 3-5 times a week. The person needs to be given a couple of days to rest. At first, a workout can take up to an hour, but then, when the technique is worked out, 15-20 minutes will be enough.

  • Technique and proper preparation

    Despite the fact that facial fitness does not involve the use of simulators and special gadgets, there are rules that cannot be ignored, otherwise there will be no effect. Ideally, you need to get trained (at least take a few lessons) from a professional trainer who will immediately point out the typical mistakes of beginners.

  • A complex approach

    Do not forget that the face is not only a muscular frame, but also a skin, so exercise cannot replace care. Moisturizing, protecting and nourishing the skin is our constant duty.

How to start face fitness: face and skin preparation

In order for the classes to be fruitful, you need to devote some time to preparation. Here’s where to start:

  1. cleanse the face of makeup and impurities;

  2. wipe the skin with your usual tonic;

  3. collect hair (it is better to pin it in a bun so that the neck is free);

  4. make a light massage of the back of the neck to improve blood circulation;

  5. sit in front of a mirror so that the entire face and neck can be seen;

  6. when performing, try to feel the area you are working on, tracking the movement of the muscles.

Facial Fitness: Home Exercises for Beginners

Even simple exercises that you can master on your own at home require a thoughtful approach and do not tolerate fuss. Learning techniques, especially in a complex, takes more time than already practiced practice. Consider this moment and give yourself at least half an hour alone with the mirror. Let no one bother you.

For eyes

Relaxation is the best exercise for the eyes.

The eye area belongs to the stressed areas of the face. The circular muscle of the eye already works constantly, and we only increase the load without parting with gadgets.
