Exfoliating dead skin cells is an important part of skin care. Its excess leads to clogging of pores and, consequently, can lead to acne, which is why you should use peelings regularly. Products of this type help to regenerate the outer layer of the skin, smooth the face and reduce wrinkles.
How do peels work?
The effect of peels is to eliminate impurities and dead cells of the outer layer of the epidermis. In addition, the openings of the sebaceous glands are opened, which in turn prevents the formation of blackheads. Prepared, cleansed skin better absorbs all preparations such as skin creams or lotions. It should be added that facial peels stimulate the skin to produce new cells, which translates into its faster regeneration.. Exfoliating skin additionally improves the appearance of the tan, which is fresher, even and lasts longer.

When and how often to use peels?
Facial peeling cannot be performed every day, as too frequent use may lead to irritation. Ideally, the peeling should be used once a week. In the case of people with extremely sensitive skin, it is worth thinking about using the peeling once every 15 days.
The face scrub can also be used as a pre-treatment to other beauty treatments. It is especially worth using a face scrub before applying the mask to the face. The peeling effectively opens the pores, thanks to which the mask penetrates better into the skin.
When not to use peels?
Peels should not be performed immediately after depilation, as it may lead to irritation. The peeling cannot be used on irritations, e.g. rashes, because it exacerbates the existing inflammation.
How to perform a facial peeling?
In the case of peeling with granules, apply a little of the product on your hand and massage it with circular movements into the moistened water and cleansed face. After a few seconds, it is enough to rinse the cosmetic thoroughly and dry your face gently with a towel, without rubbing unnecessarily. After the treatment, it is worth applying a delicate and properly selected cream to the skin.
The enzyme peeling only needs to be applied to the cleansed face. Later, it is enough to wash off the cosmetic after the time specified on the packaging. Avoid the eye area and do not rub the cosmetic too much into the skin. Before cavitation peeling, you should also clean your face of makeup and moisturize, and then gently move the device’s spatula over the skin of your face (avoiding the eye area around the mouth and not staying in one place for too long, so as not to burn the skin). Finally, wash your face with water or a tonic and apply the serum.
Are you looking for a sensitive skin scrub? At Medonet Market, you can order an enzyme peeling with Kali Muesli with a natural composition that cleans, nourishes and regenerates. We also recommend the Sylveco enzyme peeling with geranium, lemon and lemongrass oil, which has an extremely gentle effect.
In the case of chemical peeling, you should also clean the skin of the face and dry it. Then we apply the peeling and hold it as much as indicated on the package. Finally, you need to neutralize the acid, either with a special agent intended for this and attached to the package, or with baking soda (a tablespoon of soda is dissolved in 150 ml of water). Now the facial skin will start to foam and only when it is no longer certain that the peeling has been washed off the face.
Face peels – types
Fine-grained peeling is a cosmetic containing abrasive particles. They exfoliate dead skin cells from the face. The enzymatic face scrub, on the other hand, dissolves the epidermis, which makes it more delicate.
There are also on the market gommage peeling. This product freezes on your face, just rub it off with your fingers. Peeling peel off also freezes on the face. This type, however, breaks off entirely along with the blackheads.
Coarse-grained peels are cosmetics that should be applied to the body rather than the face, because the complexion is much more delicate and the coarse grains can lead to irritation.
Cavitation peeling, in turn, is based on the phenomenon of cavitation, i.e. a rapid change from the liquid phase to the gas phase, caused by a reduction in the pressure level. The skin should be moistened beforehand so that the ultrasounds can work properly, thanks to which there will be bubbles that will break the dead epidermis cells.
Chemical peeling is the action of chemicals that remove dead skin cells. It is used not only on the face, but also on the skin of the hands, neck and cleavage. In the case of this type of peeling, the following are distinguished:
- superficial peeling – mainly deals with mild skin problems, but also requires a shorter regeneration time. The results are usually less noticeable and dramatic, especially after one treatment, but superficial peels are usually appropriate for all skin colors and pose little risk of discoloration.
- medium deep peeling – help to remove wrinkles, scars and discoloration, but may cause side effects and take longer to heal. Most people will notice at least some results after one treatment, but it usually takes several treatments to get the full effect. Some dermatologists recommend superficial or medium deep peels that use multiple acids rather than one more potent acid, as multiple acids can lead to less irritation.
- deep peeling – can be used for severe discoloration, deep scars or wrinkles, severe acne. A deep chemical peel usually produces results after just one peel, however, it can cause more serious side effects and be more costly.
What types of facial scrubs to choose?
It is worth remembering that the method of care and the type of cosmetic depends mainly on the type of skin. Capillary skin, prone to irritation and eczema, should not be irritated by peels with granules. Enzyme peeling for the perfect acne face peeling. In the case of acne, peeling with granules can lead to an increase in infection. Grain peels are more suitable for oily and combination skin.

Cavitation peeling is recommended mainly for people with combination and oily skin (it reduces sebum secretion, prevents shine of the face skin, reduces fine wrinkles), but it can also be used by people with dry skin. Chemical peeling, depending on the type, is recommended for other skin types, e.g. superficial peeling, it is a great solution for sensitive skin.
Peeling can also be done with dry skin. For this reason, we recommend Orientana peeling for dry and normal skin with papaya and Indian ginseng available at Medonet Market.
Due to the fact that chemical peels can contain exfoliants of different strength and concentration, it is best to rely on a specialist to choose from.
Why is it worth using a face scrub?
The use of peels brings a number of benefits. Regular use of peeling leads to a significant smoothing of the skin and wrinkles. Peeling can regenerate the top layer of the skin. In addition, it illuminates the face and gives it a natural glow. Thanks to the use of peeling before beauty treatments, creams and masks are better absorbed. The use of peels also significantly improves blood circulation.
Face peeling – where to buy it?
You can buy a face scrub at any drugstore. However, it is best to carefully consult the choice of a cosmetic with a dermatologist so as not to irritate the skin. Specialized peels are available at pharmacies.
When choosing a peeling, it is good to pay attention to the composition. The peeling should contain as many natural ingredients as possible, and in addition to elements such as sugar or ground fruit seeds, it should contain nourishing vegetable oils (grape seed oil with excellent moisturizing properties, argan oil with smoothing and firming properties, or the popular sweet or bitter oil). almonds). Good peels also contain natural antioxidants such as hibiscus flower or raspberry fruit.
