– During the period when February does not give way to spring and even in March it is cold, rain and snow at the same time, my skin begins to arrange a boycott. Dryness can be overcome with the help of various oils.

Expectations: I love Weleda’s almond line. In our material about the discoveries of the past year, I wrote about a wonderful hand cream from this line (you can read about it here). The manufacturers promise that the cosmetic composition of almond oil, gentle plum seed oil and relaxing thorn blossom extract soothes the skin while supporting the internal processes of natural regeneration.

Reality: in the composition of the product all the most natural and beautiful – almond oil, plum seed oil, thorn flower extract. To begin with, I tried to use the oil as a makeup remover: the first time the product coped with the removal of mascara and did not cause a burning sensation. True, after such a procedure I had to wash my face, it is unpleasant to go to bed with oily eyes, you know.

For two weeks I have used the oil together with a night care product. The product is absorbed quickly enough and really relieves dry skin. Almond oil has a wonderful aroma, however, I found disadvantages in the product. The oil dispenser is reluctant to share droplets of the product, so you have to turn the bottle over and knock on it to get the right amount of product.

Rating: 9 out of 10 points… Weleda’s delicate oil is perfect for the cold season. I take off a point for an inconvenient dispenser.

– Facial oils have always scared me. My skin is prone to oily and clogged pores, so I was always afraid to use oily textures: I somehow did not want to walk with a fat pancake instead of a face. However, as is often the case with me, I was prejudiced. To debunk the myth that oil is only suitable for dry skin, Biotherm helped me.

Expectations: The manufacturer claims that Skin Best Liquid Glow oil improves complexion, brightens the skin and removes toxins. In addition, the product fights premature aging, dryness and dullness of the skin. The product description also says that the oil has a dry texture, does not leave a greasy feeling and is suitable for all skin types.

Reality: everything that is said in the description is the purest truth. I used oil overnight instead of cream after cleansing and toning. Two or three drops are enough for me all over my face. The oil is quite liquid and spreads easily over the skin. True, it is worth applying it very quickly: it can leak through your fingers. The scent and texture are simply divine and I am not exaggerating in the least. The product smells like peach and even a little bit of watermelon. At the same time, the aroma is very light and unobtrusive, it does not interfere with sleep. The skin after application becomes very velvety and smooth, but there is no grease at all. I’m not yet complaining about the complexion, so it was difficult for me to evaluate this function of the oil. But after application and in the morning, the skin really shines a little, but, again, not at all with an oily sheen. The biggest plus besides excellent hydration and nutrition, which goes without saying when it comes to face oil, is that Liquid Glow didn’t clog my pores or cause inflammation.

Rating: 10 out of 10. If you are looking for a pleasant night care, nourishing and anti-aging, this oil is perfect.

– I have always been quite skeptical about oils for the face, preferring serums to them. It seemed to me that the oil clogs the pores and prevents the skin from breathing, and also gives an unnatural shine. But beauty editor Vasilisa advised me to try Orchidée Bleue, Clarins, assuring me that its texture is incredibly light and, most importantly, natural!

Expectation: I would like the face oil to moisturize the skin and get rid of the flakiness that I sometimes get in the fall and spring. It would also be nice to get a radiance from the product (only natural!).

Clarins’ Orchidée Bleue oil annotation says it is the brand’s bestseller. The product contains 100% natural plant extracts and carefully cares for the skin: extracts of rosewood, patchouli and blue orchid tones and restores vitality and radiance, while hazelnut oil prevents moisture loss and the appearance of wrinkles.

Reality: I, as the manufacturer advises, applied two drops of Orchidée Bleue, Clarins, before going to bed on my face and neck and was very pleased. Firstly, the product is instantly absorbed (after that I didn’t even have to remove the remaining oil with a napkin). Secondly, after application, the face immediately changed: dryness disappeared, skin color became even and healthy, as if I had just returned from vacation. And, thirdly, the oil has a very pleasant aroma, the sillage of which is felt for several hours after use.

In general, I did not find any flaws. I will continue to use oil.

By the way, Clarins has two more oils for different skin types.

– Recently, I fell in love with face oils, so it was with great pleasure that I exchanged my winter care for L’OCCITANE Face Comforting Oil. I will say right away that for me it is like taking off a heavy uncomfortable down jacket and throwing a light spring raincoat over my shoulders. At least after the rich cream that I used in winter to intensely moisturize the skin, the sensations were one to one.

Expectation: I wanted to find a light moisturizer that would take care of the skin without leaving an oily sheen and feeling of discomfort.

Reality: the consumption of the product turns out to be very economical – a 30 ml bottle with a convenient dispenser lasts for a really long time. It is enough to squeeze a few drops into the palm of your hand, rub, and then apply to your face. The excess can be removed with a paper towel. I carry out this procedure immediately after cleansing, but only in the evening to avoid excess fat.

The product, containing many nutrients and antioxidant substances, strengthens, helps to restore protective functions, and also perfectly moisturizes even the driest and most sensitive skin. The 100% natural beauty formula is based on a combination of two ingredients: shea butter, which has nourishing properties, and marula fruit oil, which is an excellent antioxidant.

Moreover, the oil has a subtle delicate aroma, which makes its use even more comfortable. In principle, I do not like pungent odors, so I am delighted that this product does not have unpleasant fragrances.

Evaluation: 10 of 10. What you need to restore your skin after a long winter.

– In the cold season, my skin becomes unbearably capricious. Therefore, she needs good care and maximum hydration. Last year, L’Oreal face oil helped me with this, now I have the opportunity to experience the effects of Planeta Organica face oil.

Expectations: the manufacturer says that the oil has the powerful nutritional activity of Tibetan goji berries, rich in amino acids, vitamins and minerals, the life-giving power of the Jericho rose, capable of retaining moisture in the most extreme conditions of drought, the resistance of sea buckthorn, which survives in 40-degree frosts thanks to the omega fatty acids it contains -7 and 9 in high concentration. It is the correct combination of components that is the secret of the effectiveness of Planeta Organica products.

The oil is advised to be applied to cleansed and dry skin, it is easy to rub in with massaging stroking movements. You need to rub it in until it is completely absorbed, no rinsing is required.

Reality: in fact, the oil turned out to be even better than the manufacturer praised it. I applied it at night, as ordered, on thoroughly cleansed skin. This requires no more than three drops. Better not to overdo it, because it’s still oil.

The product has a pleasant smell, it is felt that there is no chemistry in it, only natural ingredients, and this is very pleasant.

After the first application, the skin simply shines with beauty and health. It is soft and smooth to the touch, like a baby’s. I did not find any grease on my face, although I was a little afraid of such an effect. I tried to use it after washing my face in the morning, before applying makeup. After that, I was just as pleased. The skin is hydrated, no peeling and tightening all day. The cosmetics lay flat, but, fortunately, no oily sheen appeared.

Rating: 10 out of 10. This remedy will save your skin during the cold season. In the summer, I think I would not use it, but in the fall, winter and spring it is.

– Oh, I faced exactly the same prejudices about butter as my colleagues. My skin already starts to shine in the evening, and then I voluntarily need to smear it with grease. This is how I thought and fought off the beauty editor. But now I have forgotten about my expensive cream with swallow’s nest extract (!) And I use only this remedy. So, in order.

Expectations: face oil manufacturers are called intelligent. Like, it itself understands what the skin needs and acts. Where needed – moisturizes, elsewhere – enhances the ability to recover. In addition, it contains a triple composition of antioxidants. Suitable for all skin types and does not grease. Contains safflower oil, sesame seed oil and sunflower seed oil. Sounds delicious!

Reality: just 2-3 drops of oil are enough to moisturize the face. I decided to try applying it first at night – in the morning you can always wash and remove excess shine. The testing process turned into a ceremony: the oil smells so good, and there is such a convenient and stylish pipette for application that I got stuck. I didn’t want to rush. Gently rubbed the drops in her palms, patted her face. I felt the skin tightened after washing with water smoothed out. The sensations are pleasant, no fat content. In addition, the oil was completely absorbed in two minutes!

Hmm, I was surprised and went to bed. And in the morning I appreciated the effect: it seemed that the face was glowing. And no extra shine. The second time I applied Clinique Smart Treatment Oil for a day and was again satisfied. I think a non-greasy moisturizing face oil is my discovery of the year! I shouldn’t have been afraid.

By the way, if you are still afraid of using such a texture, you can add a couple of drops to your regular face cream.

Rating: 10 out of 10. The oil firmly pushed my swallow nest on the bathroom shelf.

– Until recently, if possible, I tried to avoid oil-based cosmetics: after using them, an additional bath procedure is required to remove oil from the skin. Yet Vichy Neovadiol Magistral Elixir was very enthusiastic to test the serum. After winter, the skin looks dry and dull. Emergency measures are required, and oils, in my opinion, are just those.

Expectations: So, I would like to get rid of dryness and flaking of the skin as soon as possible. Vichy promises that after prolonged use of the product, the skin becomes smooth and elastic. The serum restores firmness and radiance for a visible transformation.

Reality: only after a few weeks of active use of the product, I discovered that the serum offered to me for testing was intended for women aged 45+ during menopause. Well, I’m far from 45+, but I was not disappointed in the oil.

Already in the morning after the first application, I felt the first changes. Just a few drops – and the redness on the face disappeared. The skin has acquired a matte finish. And after a week it became velvet to the touch. For me, the desired result has been achieved. There is nothing even to add.

Rating: 10 out of 10. Serum Vichy Neovadiol Magistral Elixir, in my opinion, fully justified itself.
