Face cream with apricot oil: recipe with video
Apricot kernel oil is one of the most popular oils in the production of facial cosmetics. When studying its properties, cosmetologists managed to find out that it is capable of simultaneously moisturizing and softening the skin, relieving peeling and irritation, toning and rejuvenating the skin. Importantly, apricot oil is suitable for all skin types. It is ideal for making homemade cosmetics.
For tired skin. Add in 1 tbsp. l. slightly warmed apricot kernel oil 3-4 drops of aloe juice (from a fresh plant) and 2 drops of patchouli and chamomile oil. Apply the composition to your washed face, but do not rub it in, but with light patting movements of your fingers and palms, hammer it into the skin. Take a relaxing position while lying down. After 15 minutes, blot off excess oil (if not completely absorbed) with a soft cloth. Apply this mask every time you feel that your face is tired of external factors – wind, rain, dust, and also if you have been in a stuffy room for a long time.
For all skin types. Grind 1 tbsp in a coffee grinder or mortar. l. oatmeal, add 1 tbsp. l. apricot kernel oil, 1 tbsp. l. milk and 0,5 tsp. natural honey heated in a water bath up to 40 degrees. Mix everything well and apply on cleansed skin for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse your face with room temperature water. If necessary (if you feel tightness of the skin), lubricate with a moisturizer. Repeat the mask after 3-4 days. Its use is especially shown in the cold season.
To prepare it you will need:
- apricot kernel oil – 1 tbsp. l.
- olive oil – 1 tsp
- rosehip oil – 1 tsp.
- “Aevit” (vitamins A and E in oil) – 1 capsule
- anhydrous lanolin – 1 tbsp. l
You can replace olive oil with any other vegetable oil (its amount remains unchanged), and buy “Aevit” not in capsules, but in a bottle, and then you will need 2 grams of oil solution
Place all the ingredients in an enamel container (pierce the Aevita capsule with a needle and squeeze the oil into the rest of the ingredients) and heat slightly in a water bath with constant stirring with a wooden spatula. Pour the mixture into a glass jar and let cool at room temperature. Then you can put it in the refrigerator and take it out for use only. Use the homemade cream like any other, that is, apply to cleansed face, avoiding the eye area, and rub in lightly. It is better to do this before bed, as the cream is quite oily. Store it in the refrigerator for no more than two weeks.
Take the following ingredients:
- apricot kernel oil – 1 tbsp. l.
- butter – 15 g (1 tbsp. l.)
- Frankincense essential oil – 2 drops
- essential oil jojoba – 2 drops
- carrot seed oil – 2 drops
Place the butter in a non-metallic bowl and thaw at room temperature. Add the rest of the oils and rub well. Transfer to a glass jar. Store in the refrigerator for no more than 5-7 days.
If you do not want to apply this cream every day, but plan to alternate with other products, you can reduce the amount of ingredients by half, since you cannot store a homemade cream that contains butter for a long time.
Use a homemade eye cream daily before bed. Observe the rules of application: do not rub the cream directly into the eyelids, feel the eye sockets with your fingers, their edges will be the contours of the application. Take a little cream and mark these lines with peas, and then with your eyelids covered, very easily inject the cream into the skin with your fingers, moving from the outer corners of the eyes to the outer corners of the lower eyelids and from the outer to the inner ones along the upper eyelids.
