– I believe that every girl should have a palette of her favorite shades of eyeshadow, with which you can create daytime makeup and transform it into an evening look.

Expectations: I can’t imagine how you can not look at the palette with this name – “Enchanted Forest”, and also the price … 990 rubles for 12 universal shades – this is a very nice offer.

Reality: the palette combines mauve and deep greens with a pearlescent finish. I will make a reservation right away, I never apply eyeshadow without a base (my favorite Prep + Prime 24-Hour Extend Eye Base from MAC, which not only will help the eyeshadow literally bite into your eyes and keep makeup throughout the day, evening and even night, more and is used very sparingly).

The set includes sponges, but I prefer to apply makeup with a natural bristle brush. I chose coffee shades and added some dark purple to the lash line.

The shadows behaved perfectly during the day, did not roll, crumble or disappear.

Rating: 9 out of 10 points just for sponges, which I would prefer a brush. And so excellent value for money.

– I got a palette from Clarins – this is a fairly new palette, which many compare to the famous Urban decay palette. Visually, they are really similar, but differ in quality.

Expectations: to be honest, I always dreamed of such a palette of eyeshadows, but it was a pity for the money. Moreover, it is not very good to paint beautifully. And suddenly our beauty editor waved her magic wand, and in my hands it was … a palette of expensive eyeshadows, already with 10 shades.

In a beautiful package, which is made of thick cardboard in the form of a kind of pencil case with an elastic band. In my opinion, it is very practical: nothing will be scratched or broken.

Inside we have, as I said, 10 shades of shadows, a double-sided brush made of natural bristles: on one side a standard flat brush, on the other – a beveled one, it applies everything perfectly, the quality is at the highest level, a mirror and a small tip for makeup. Well, everything is as ordered!

The manufacturer says that the shadows are made on the basis of natural plant and mineral components. 10 universal shades of eyeshadow will allow you to create a light daytime and rich evening makeup.

Reality: in general, I did not immediately turn on the cool makeup artist, I put on makeup as I could, and it turned out very well.

The shadows are of good quality, 4 shades are matte, the rest are all shimmery. Lots of light shades, while no good dark shade at all. Well, I think everyone has a dark shade in their arsenal, so you can forgive them, but for daytime makeup, the shadows present are enough. The 2nd, 3rd shades also look good as a highlighter, and the 4th shade can be safely used for eyebrow shaping.

All shades are beautiful, they will look especially good on tanned skin. They keep the shadows just fine, all day long.

Rating: 10 from 10, got what she wanted.

– I take a very responsible approach to the choice of eye shadows and I think that skillfully made makeup can not only emphasize natural beauty, but also accurately correct imperfections. This is especially true for the eyes. Even a moderate make-up makes the look sexy and deep. Therefore, when I got Max Factor eyeshadow and eyebrow shadows for testing, I was absolutely delighted! After all, now everything you need to create a smokey eye can be found in one palette.

Expectations: I have tried many different brands of eyeshadow. Eyeshadow pencils, liquid shadows, pearlescent, transparent and with shimmery particles, matte – which is just not in my cosmetic bag. However, all my “wards” are united by one thing – they “disappear” from sight too quickly. Moreover, some of them do it not at all elegantly, leaving behind incomprehensible stripes and stains. About the brand Max Factor I’ve heard a lot of good things, and above all that his products are durable. Therefore, I expected from the palette, if not a miracle, then at least a long-term relationship.

Reality: I will say right away that this tool did not pass the durability test, but otherwise it turned out to be at its best! In general, I am delighted that the designers of the brand came up with the idea to combine in one palette eye shadows and eyebrow powder that are harmoniously combined in color. Now there is no need to equip a cosmetic bag with separate makeup products, but just take one universal palette, with which, by the way, you can make both everyday and evening make-up. This is especially true for travel, when there is no extra space in the luggage, so the prospect of lugging the entire arsenal of funds with you on vacation is especially acute.

But back to the product Max Factor Smokey Eye Drama Kit… With a very soft velvet texture, the eyeshadow is easy to apply and blends well. Also, the shadows are perfectly pigmented, do not roll and do not form lumps. The palette contains shimmery and matte options, so any conceived image is very easy to implement. The only thing is, eyebrow shadows and powder are a little dusty, so they need to be applied before using foundation. And one more note, it is better to apply eyebrow powder with a convenient brush, and not the one that comes with the kit. Otherwise, in terms of value for money, this is just perfect.

Evaluation: 9 out of 10. Taking a point for not being so persistent. But next time I’ll try to apply shadows to the base, perhaps then they will stay for centuries as long as possible.

My relationship with shadows doesn’t work out. In palettes, they all look so beautiful – bright colors, delicate texture. It seems that now you put it on the eyelid – and everyone will fall. But in practice you will be able to apply them so that they look like in advertising.

Expectations: The limited edition Hypnose 5 Color Palette in a super stylish box is pure delight in itself. I got shades of blue – from pale blue to inky blue. I was delighted: these are great for creating smoky eyes, and I really love this makeup.

With the application, the brand came up with this trick: use dry – you get pale shades suitable for the day (this effect is just in the photo). When applied wet, the shadows turn creamy and appear brighter. So much for your evening makeup. The idea is interesting, and this is how it works in reality …

Reality: I tried – I defined a delicate shade in the corners of the eyes, highlighted the middle with a rich blue, and emphasized the corner of the eye with an inky one. In vain I suffered: in fact, segmented makeup did not work out – this should not be done with dry shadows. But it turned out nicely anyway, the main thing is that it was not a shame to go to the editorial office. An hour later, I looked in the mirror – of course, all three shades of blue gathered in a fold. Well, okay – this is because I was too lazy to use the base.

In the evening at home, having dinner and crawling under the blanket, my husband and I watched the series. At some point, he looked at me and gently said: “Honey, it seems that Halloween has already passed, what are you doing?” It turned out that the shadows were crumbling, and I really looked like Pannochka. Therefore, here is rule number 1 for you: never forget about the foundation and do not be lazy to wash your face as soon as you come home. Especially if you are testing new cosmetics.

I also tried wet application: indeed, the shadows became brighter, but it was painful to apply them – uniform application did not happen, I had to return to areas with bald patches … In general, in my case, the focus was not successful. Therefore, here is rule number 2 for you: before you buy eyeshadows that require a wet application, it would be nice to master it first.

Evaluation: 7 out of 10. The palette deserves a XNUMX for absolutely amazing comfortable brushes, only for which I would buy this palette again.

– The products of the Giordani Gold line have always belonged to Oriflame luxury cosmetics. Giordani Gold eye shadow quad proved it once again.

Reality: the palette includes coffee shades with pearlescent shimmer. Includes a double-sided sponge.

I apply shadows on the makeup base with light movements and immediately notice a slight minus. There are four colors in the palette, and the sponge has only two sides. Not very comfortable.

But the shadows fall on the eyelids evenly and do not crumble. The result, however, turns out to be no worse than after using expensive elite shadows.

In the process of “wearing” the shadows Giordani Gold also show themselves very well. Do not crumble or roll. Even by late evening, makeup required only a slight correction. No panda eyes – is this not a great result ?!

Rating: 8 out of 10 points… Minus two points for sponge. Eyeshadow from Oriflame deservedly can settle on your cosmetic table.

Expectations: The manufacturer promises that Big Eyes will visually make the eyes even larger due to the presence in its composition of pearlescent micro-particles that scatter natural light. I know from myself that the shimmer on the eyelids absolutely does not suit me, as it creates the effect of “wet” skin that I do not need. So my expectations were quite logical: I was fully confident that this product would not suit me.

Reality: The Maybelline palette includes five colors: light beige (aka primer), pink gray, peach and brown. Each shade contains not even a million, but a billion sparkling particles, which I, in fact, did not like. The brand’s makeup artist advises to apply the eyeshadow one at a time to achieve the best effect. I tried to apply the lightest shade under the eyebrow, but mother-of-pearl was too much for me. Therefore, I decided not to experiment and used only one shade – brown – which I applied to the entire movable eyelid and shaded. With a gray-pink shade, I walked along the edge of the movable eyelid. The gloss, of course, ruined everything, but in terms of color, the result was not bad. The eyes look brighter, but still natural. True, I would remove the section with orange pigment from the palette: it will definitely not be useful to me either day or night. During the day, the shadows behaved well, but still a little huddled in the crease of the eyelid. We went to bed, however, imperfect. They did not manage to merge with the skin, and therefore they looked a little loose.

Rating: 7 out of 10. I took off points for the insane amount of pearlescent particles, poor coverage and orange color in the palette.
