Dana Harrison was expecting her third child. There were 11 days before the preliminary date of birth, her husband went fishing with friends, and she herself was quietly sitting at home. And suddenly…
The fact that the contractions had begun, Dana realized immediately, not for the first time. I called my husband and sister and called a taxi – I had to go to the hospital. Childbirth is rare, especially since the previous two times went as expected – they lasted several hours, so the girl sincerely hoped to get to the hospital on time.
But she miscalculated. It is difficult to blame her for this, because childbirth according to the approved scenario takes place only if it is a planned cesarean. And then … In general, childbirth began right in the taxi.
“The driver, when he realized what was happening, started yelling at me that I would stain his car,” Dana tells the newspaper .
The taxi driver still drove the girl to the hospital – thanks for not throwing her out on the way. But he did not stop shouting and swearing at her. Hospital staff with a wheelchair had already run up to the car to pick up Dana, but he flatly refused to let her out. Although, according to her, she was literally holding the baby’s head with her hands.
Dana’s daughters stayed with their grandmother – to wait for their mother to return from the hospital.
“He shouted that I owe him 50 pounds. Although the price for the trip was only 3. I gave him £ 30, that’s all I had. I was already desperate to go to the hospital, and the baby was almost born, ”continues Dana.
Despite the money received, the taxi driver did not calm down. He announced that he would wait for someone with a pack of wet wipes. And even better – to Dana herself. Let her finish her business there quickly, come back and wash the salon.
“There wasn’t even a trace. Yes, my water lost, but most of it remained in my pants, ”the woman shrugs.
Fortunately, everything ended well. As soon as Dana was brought to the delivery room, her son was born – a healthy and strong baby weighing 3400 grams. The boy was named Blake.
Baby Blake is the third child in the family, the first boy.
A little later, the young father rushed to the hospital – he had to throw his fishing rods. From the story of his wife, I was in no small shock. And even in a rage – if the taxi driver really decided to wait until someone from Dana’s family came to wash his car, he would not be good.
“I called the taxi company, but they refused to tell me the name of the employee. They offered to do with an apology on behalf of the company. I was so furious that words could not convey, ”says the man.
However, we can only be glad that everything is in order with the young mother and the baby, but they still managed to get to the hospital. Sometimes it happens that you have to give birth right in the emergency room on the floor, without waiting for the help of doctors.
