There are several ways to lengthen the nail plate. The simplest of them are acrylic and gel extensions. Each of these procedures lasts about three hours, and the result is a beautiful and neat manicure that lasts for 2-3 weeks. Then you need to make a correction.

Gel build-up is carried out using a UV lamp, a source of ultraviolet or halogen radiation. Under the influence of this device, the gel and its own nail are bonded.
For work you will need:
- transparent, white or multi-colored tips
- universal paper or reusable forms
- saws
- cuticle scissors
- tip cutter
- degreaser
- single-phase gels in pink, white and transparent
- gels of bright colors
- Brushes
- napkins
- nail tip glue
- baf
- Ultraviolet lamp
- finish gel
- primer
- cuticle oil
Thoroughly file the nail plate, this is necessary so that after the build-up there is no gel detachment. Apply a thin layer of primer to each nail.
This tool is similar to regular nail polish and is used to improve adhesion between the material used and the natural nail.
After that, stick the tipsu on the nail, shorten it to the desired size with a tip cutter. And again file, this is necessary in order to erase the border at the point of attachment. After that, give the desired shape: rounded, sharp or rectangular. Soak a cloth in a degreaser, wipe your fingers, dry.
Apply the gel to prepared nails with a flat brush. The tool should not go beyond the cuticle, spread it in an even thin layer along the edges of the plate, thicker in the middle of the nail. This stress zone is responsible for the duration of the wear. If the gel is single-phase, as a rule, one layer is sufficient, three-phase products have a more complex structure, in addition, their application requires skill.

White gel, for example, from Toffee or Runail, is suitable for creating a French manicure. Cover the tip of the nail with it and apply a pink camouflage on top. You can do all the extensions with a transparent gel, and only then do the design on it.
Place the gel nails in the lamp and wait for a three-minute interval. During hardening, you may feel a short burning sensation, but it quickly goes away. Then file the nail again with a hard file, if necessary, cover with another layer of gel and heat again. Once your nails are at the correct length, you can start leveling the top layer. You can paint your nails with nail polish or multi-colored gel. At the very end, use a finish, this tool will add shine. Massage the oil into the cuticle to complete the manicure.

The only condition for this is the presence of a free edge of your nail. The shape is a rectangular sticker from which you need to cut a small piece to the size of the native plate. Place the paper under your own nail, fix it on your finger and apply the required amount of gel using the special markings. After the first layer has cured in the lamp, you can remove the sticker. Then work with a finished nail of the required length. With this method, the nails last up to 1 month, then correction is necessary. You can remove the gel build-up only by cutting the artificial nail for a long time.
Acrylic artificial nail extension
Try building your nails in stages using acrylic. So they will acquire length much faster, since the powder and liquid freeze in air, these substances do not need to be heated or dried using special devices. This method is also called sculptural. To work you will need the same tools as for gel extensions, except for the lamp. Use acrylic powder and liquid instead of gel. You can easily use this polymer even at home.
Before you start working with acrylic, do an allergic reaction test. To do this, apply a little product on one nail, wait for hardening and leave for a day.
File your nails, apply primer on top, then use tips or shapes as desired. Put the required amount of powder on the brush, dip it in liquid, form a viscous ball, and apply it evenly on the nail. Once the resin has hardened, finish off the nail with a file and buff with a buff. In this case, you need to work quickly, because acrylic hardens very quickly. If you apply more than necessary, then you will have to file for a long time to the desired thickness. Design as desired. You can easily make a beautiful drawing using acrylic paints. The advantage of this build-up is that the acrylic can be easily removed with a liquid containing acetone.
