The details still remain a mystery, but it is known that the developers passed a mixture of liquids through something like an atomizer under monstrous pressure (more than 1,7 thousand atmospheres). As a result, the turbulence “crushed” large balls of liquid into smaller and smaller ones until they reached nano-size. After this, not a single bacteria that was in liquids can survive, they are literally literally torn apart.
Scientists believe that the novelty can be used primarily in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry to increase the shelf life of drugs. It’s just not entirely clear whether we need “eternal” cosmetics?
