This month we tested the new Hydra Sparkling, Givenchy, night cream mask and cleansing powder for daily care.
As with Givenchy’s Hydra Sparkling line, One-minute Glow Powder Daily Micropeeling and Short Night Recovery Moisturizing Mask/Cream hydrate skin and improve complexion. The editor of our site, Svetlana Kirenina, used them for two weeks and shared her opinion.
Operating principle
Both products contain Sparkling Water Complex, the main moisturizing component of the Hydra Sparkling range. In addition, the cleansing powder contains AHA and BHA acids and the emollient component allantoin. Millet extract in the cream-mask strengthens the lipid barrier, while Crealight antioxidant eliminates the effects of oxidative stress. Svetlana’s opinion: «I was glad to test the new moisturizing line, as the skin became dull, thin and dry like parchment over the winter.»
Feature of application
You need to wash your face with cleansing powder in the morning and in the evening: pour the powder into the palm of your hand, add cool water, beat the foam, apply it on your face and massage for about a minute, avoiding the eye area. Wash away. Night cream-mask, as the name suggests, can be used both as a cream and as a mask (once or twice a week). In the latter case, it is applied in a dense layer and left overnight. Svetlana’s opinion: “The moment of turning powder into foam was mesmerizing. After massaging her face and washing it off, she applied a cream mask. Loved the light gel texture. True, the smell seemed sharp. A ball the size of a hazelnut was more than enough for the face and neck. But if you use the tool as a mask, you need, of course, more. True, in this case, the face becomes sticky. But — miracles! “No matter how thickly I applied the cream mask, no traces could be found on the pillowcase.”
Promised effect
Powder for washing should soften the skin and give it radiance. The cream mask promises to moisturize it by 112%. Svetlana’s opinion: “The powder is beautiful! The skin does not injure, does not dry and really improves the complexion. I will definitely buy a second bottle. The cream mask works great too. I used to wake up with a feeling of tight skin, but now I’m comfortable for the rest of the day (although, of course, I wash my face in the morning). After two weeks of using this duet, redness decreased, the skin thickened, even the nasolabial folds decreased. I do the mask only when I know that I will not sleep for long. And in the morning there are no traces of lack of sleep. ”
