– Lip balms in my life play two roles: in winter they save from dry skin and flaking, and throughout the year I use them as a base for matte lipsticks. For a long time I used the trendy EOS and Carmex, but when the kid from Guerlain fell into my hands, I put everything else in the far drawer.

Expectations: Someone is content with hygienics for 20-50 rubles and really loves them. I do not think that expensive cosmetics are of equal quality. I have a lot of mass-market products in my cosmetic bag, but if I go back to lip balms, many of them (both expensive and cheap) roll off.

Reality: When I applied My Supertips Lip Hero to my lips, I felt like I was eating caramel popcorn. Such a sweet sensation does not disappear until you dine. The product is based on the formula of the famous Baume de la Ferté, a legendary remedy since 1830. By the way, the main component of the formula is Bordeaux wine tannin, which has a regenerating power. Until 1904, it was advised to nursing women!

The melting soft texture allows the product to spread well and not leave lumps. If you leave the product on your lips overnight, you will notice that your lips are softer in the morning. The balm softens, moisturizes and protects the lips, and also fits perfectly under matte lipsticks, which, as everyone knows, dry out our delicate lips very much.

Rating: 10 of 10 points. Any other time I would have removed a point for a high price, but this time our story is about how to pamper yourself.

– A good lip balm is a must have in my cosmetic bag. One hygiene item is on my dressing table, one is in my bag, and the third is in my coat pocket. Even though I already have my favorites, I never stop looking for the best.

Expectations: My “experimental” balm with a natural brown tint from Jane Iredale with the self-explanatory name Lip Drink. The manufacturer claims that the product soothes, softens and cares for the delicate skin of the lips. In addition, the balm has a very impressive SPF factor – 15. For me, the main thing is that the hygiene product moisturizes well, does not provoke dryness and protects from wind and frost.

Reality: Balm Jane Iredale seemed to me very nutritious and “fatty” in a good sense of the word. I liked that it moisturizes the lips well, even when they are already chapped. The shade of Buff suited me, but I would like something a little more fresh. Of the minuses: due to the presence of pigment, the product can make peeling on the lips more noticeable. Resistance to “four”, since the coating must be renewed every hour. The aroma is neutral cosmetic, which did not bother me at all. Lip Drink left a completely neutral impression.

Rating: 5 of 10 points. An ordinary lip balm, no worse than a penny “Nivea”. It seems to me that he is not worth his money. No feeling of “luxury” on the lips.

– I can’t imagine my life without such a beauty product as lip balm. Especially in the autumn-winter period, when the delicate skin of the lips needs additional protection and hydration. I just ran out of another remedy, so the revitalizing balm of the Korean brand Erborian turned up at an opportune moment. By the way, Korean cosmetics have long conquered the Russian market, and glossy magazines and bloggers are vying with each other to praise such products. I came across this brand for the first time, so it was interesting to compare the laudatory odes of journalists and personal feelings.

Reality: I will say right away that Korean cosmetics have one more fan in my face. Only now I understand why bloggers are vying with each other to discuss the miraculous effect of the balm.

First, I really liked the positive design. The product is in a 7 ml glass jar, which, in principle, is not so much, but the consumption is very economical. Secondly, the balm has a pleasant, delicate texture, is easy to apply and does not stick. Thirdly, the product has an incredible lemon scent. Unobtrusive but perceptible. After a few days of regular use, I got rid of the flaking, the skin smoothed out and the lips looked much more attractive.

In my opinion, the product coped with the task more than adequately and deserves a high rating.

– In recent years, I increasingly began to prefer nude makeup to bright and defiant makeup. There are a lot of glitters in my cosmetic bag, but I couldn’t resist testing the novelty from Giorgio Armani.

Expectations: In the cold season, facial skin needs special care, and our sponges are no exception. I expect my perfect shine to provide moisture-free moisture and reliable weather protection. Giorgio Armani adds in the description that Him / Her Lip Care glides on the lips easily, and also gives them volume and natural shine – this will not be superfluous either.

Reality: Branded box, and inside an elegant tube. What do I expect from Armani cosmetics? Magic!

Gently press on the tube and start painting my lips. The gloss is applied quickly and easily, the natural color of the lips instantly acquires a more intense and brighter shade.

Next sensation? Lips seemed to be covered with a thin layer of soft wax. The product gently envelops, so it’s not scary to walk in bad weather – I definitely like it.

After completing the morning makeup, the feeling of comfort on my lips does not leave me until lunchtime. And even small snacks do not completely remove the effect of applying the balm.

What’s the minus? Quite a high price, perhaps. On the Internet, the cost of funds reaches 2 rubles. True, luxury cosmetics are never cheap. If you want, but the price bites, you should pay attention to another shelf.

Rating: 10 of 10 points. I rarely give funds the highest mark, but there is nothing to complain about here.

– The American brand Smith & Cult appeared in Russia not so long ago. At first, she specialized exclusively in nail polishes, and now she also specialized in lip balms, one of which I was able to test.

Expectation: In winter, the first thing I expect from lip products is wind and frost protection and hydration. Let’s see how the novelty from Smith & Cult will behave!

Reality: The line of Smith & Cult balsams has several shades: from “nude” to cherry. I chose a light pink and was right, the tone on the lips looked perfect. And also, in the opinion of my colleague, it gave volume. It is a pity that the color lasted for a maximum of 30 minutes … But it did not leave marks on the cups!

Now about the texture. There are no complaints about her. It is very pleasant, well distributed and has a subtle sweetish aroma.

But the properties of the novelty became not entirely clear to me. The manufacturer writes that “the product provides long-term hydration,” but I honestly would argue with that. The balm wears off quickly (as I wrote earlier) along with all the moisture, so you have to reapply it.

Rating: 7 out of 10 points… Everything would be fine if the balm did not fail in stamina. Although, because of the shade, I continue to use it.

– Lip balm with a melting texture and pleasant aroma, enriched with essential rose wax and shea butter, perfectly moisturizes, removes dryness and small cracks, makes lips soft and gives them a light pink tint.

Reality: Provides intensive care for damaged lip skin. The texture is creamy, pleasant. Of all the brands for me, this is the best lip balm – odorless and tasteless. It does not stick, does not curl, softens and moisturizes lips well. Before that I used regular hygienic lipsticks, but the skin of my lips still remained dry. Until I became friends with Clarins balm.

Rating: 10 out of 10 points… A very pleasant and effective remedy in the winter. Although I would be surprised if I did not like the lip balm for 1600 rubles. I am glad that the tool is worth its money, now this is not common.
