What is an exfoliating mask

Recall: the skin, regardless of its type and condition, must be regularly freed from dead cells that accumulate on the surface of the epidermis. If this rule is ignored, the consequences will not be the most pleasant:

    • ineffectiveness of daily care.

Features of composition

Home care exfoliating masks come in three types.

  1. Peeling mask. It contains fruit acids in a small concentration, which, during exposure, help dead cells “hook off” from the epidermis. This mask should simply be washed off with water.

  2. Scrub mask. The role of the exfoliant is performed by exfoliating particles. The formula also contains antioxidants and soothing ingredients for a pronounced cosmetic effect.

  3. Hybrid mask. Combines acid peel and scrub.

How to choose an exfoliating face mask

  • Clay-based masks with natural abrasive particles are useful for oily skin.

  • For normal skin, universal gel-based exfoliators with a low dose of acids or mild abrasive particles are suitable.

It is better for owners of dry and sensitive skin to refuse scrub masks: abrasive particles, especially of natural origin, can cause discomfort.
