With the onset of summer, makeup also changes: the tonal coverage becomes lighter and weightless. Alas, the condition of the skin does not always allow you to abandon the “plaster” completely. But by covering up pimples, we only aggravate the situation, while we need to deal with the problem itself.
Radiant skin is one of the most important “elements” of the image of any beauty. Numerous polls confirm this. Men often think that height, weight and hair color are not so important, but a clean, fresh face always attracts their attention. And, let’s be honest, we also like ourselves in the mirror more, when there are no problems with the skin and are not expected.
However, not everyone gets the ideal condition of the skin from nature. The majority are forced to invest both strength and money in beauty and health. For example, acne, blackheads and inflammation are some of the most common problems that almost all girls face and struggle with.
The primary trouble here is blackheads (or comedones). These are pores clogged with sebum, dust and microscopic skin particles. If left unattended, there is a serious risk of getting acne, painful inflammation, nullifying all efforts to look beautiful and well-groomed.
Black business: where do comedones come from?
Inflammation and clogged pores are not exclusively a teenage problem, although they most often appear at a young age under the influence of hormonal changes in the body. But these troubles can arise at a later age.
Doctors are sure that one of the causes of acne is unhealthy diet. Fatty, sweet, salty and spicy foods are dangerous not only for the waist, but also for the skin. If you want to forget about acne, give up fast food, soda, foods containing too many preservatives and dyes – in short, try to stick to a healthy diet.
Various diseases of the digestive tract and the endocrine system can also affect the condition of the skin. Stress and poor ecology are also on the list of the culprits of comedones and inflammation. When the immune system weakens, the defenses of the skin also weaken. She can no longer resist bacteria. Harmful microorganisms, getting into clogged pores, begin to multiply actively – and now an almost imperceptible black dot turns into an ugly and painful pimple.
Sometimes the development of acne provokes hyperkeratosis, that is, an increase in the stratum corneum of the skin. It can develop under the influence of hormonal imbalance or a diet poor in vitamin A. And finally, products designed to make the skin more beautiful can cause acne. Many creams, lotions and masks contain comedogenic components (lanolin, squalene, sulfur, some pigments, mineral and vegetable oils, especially soy and almond).
In trying to get rid of blackheads and pimples, girls make many mistakes that aggravate the situation.
The most common of these is the active use of cosmetics. Of course, all imperfections can be hidden under concealer, a layer of foundation and powder. But it is worth washing off all this “disguise” – and there will be no trace of beauty. Moreover, the particles of foundation and powder are an excellent breeding ground for bacteria. The more pimples, the more makeup you need to hide them. The more cosmetics, the more new inflammations. In short, a real vicious circle.
It is pointless to hide acne and comedones, they must be treated. But here, too, there are some subtleties. Many girls have high hopes for products containing alcohol. Indeed, these drugs can dry pimples quickly. But the skin also suffers. Alcohol deprives it of its natural protective layer, and soon several new ones appear on the site of one disappeared inflammation.
The mass market offers hundreds of acne remedies. Almost every brand has its own line of anti-acne products. However, the effectiveness of such funds is far from always high; they are often created to prevent a problem rather than to treat existing blackheads.
There is no magic elixir that relieves inflammation in a couple of days. Manufacturers who promise stunning effects in just one week are being disingenuous. The uppermost layer of the skin is completely renewed in about a month, and the same amount is needed to apply the product in order to achieve a serious, not temporary result.
To combat comedones and blackheads, it is necessary to use not ordinary lotions and tonics, but pharmaceutical preparations. Only such remedies are able to cure acne and prevent their reappearance. At the same time, it is important to choose a product that does not contain antibiotics, otherwise, over time, the bacteria will “get used” to the drug, and the product will no longer give the desired result.
Differin is one of the latest and most effective developments in the difficult matter of combating comedones. This product does not contain antibiotics, does not interfere with the natural defenses of the skin and really helps the skin regain its smoothness and clarity. Studies have shown that after 7 days of regular use of Differin, the number of blackheads is reduced by a third, and after a 12-week course – by 73% *. In addition, Differin relieves inflammation and prevents comedones from turning into acne.
Unlike many pharmacy products, Differin is easy to use: it needs to be applied to the skin just once a day before going to bed **. For oily skin, Differin Gel is better, and for dry and sensitive skin, Differin Cream. Both forms are equally effective, the only question is personal comfort. By the way, “Differin” is suitable not only for the face, it also successfully copes with comedones on the back, shoulders and décolleté.
Black dots are not only a cosmetic problem, but also a psychological one. How many charming, smart and funny girls have had their self-esteem spoiled! But with the right approach, inflammation and comedones can be eliminated in a matter of weeks. Be beautiful, healthy and do not lose confidence in yourself – it is as attractive as delicate, clear skin!
