Everything you need to do before starting a pregnancy

For it to take place in the best conditions and for the baby to be healthy, a pregnancy must be prepared. Raïssa Blankoff, naturopath, talks about what you need to know before starting a pregnancy …

Constipation, poor digestion, colitis… The intestines are the basis of all good health. For some, a simple course of probiotics may be sufficient while it will be necessary to consider healing the intestinal mucosa for others. Regarding women, remember that the quality of the vaginal flora is directly related to the intestinal flora. It will therefore be important to take care to resolve any digestive problems.

It is also advisable to look for possible food intolerances. Food intolerances such as gluten intolerance (celiac disease) may play a role in infertility1. In a study, a woman suffering from sterility and gluten intolerance was able to conceive eight months after stopping consuming gluten-based products. The researchers concluded that “celiac disease should be sought in infertile women whose cause is not understood and who suffer from anemia, because a change in their diet may solve their sterility problem”2.

Finally, it is important to ensure the proper functioning of the liver and the gallbladder, to ensure that you do not suffer from candidiasis or chronic cystitis.
