Everyone to the garden! Scientists talk about a quick way to become happier

As scientists from the University of Birmingham have found out, the way to feel happier is practically under our noses. As a result of the study, they came to the conclusion that a 20-minute walk in the city garden, square, park allows a person to improve his psycho-emotional state.

Getting closer to nature, as well as participating in all kinds of recreational or social activities that are often held in city parks, significantly reduce the level of stress in humans.

How did you come to this conclusion?

The study was conducted in three major parks in Mountain Brook, Alabama, which are visited by many people every day. The study involved 94 people. After the walk, they filled out a questionnaire and handed the scientists a special device, which all this time monitored their physical indicators.

The best emotional indicators were shown by those participants who walked in the park for 20 to 25 minutes.

Scientists note that it is not necessary to play sports or do other exercises in the park to feel happy. You can just walk, contemplate nature, breathe the air. This leads to the so-called “zeroing effect”, it well restores a person after mental activity, stress, sets in a positive mood.

Recall that earlier we wrote about the name of a drink that makes women happier.

Be healthy!
