Ethnic style in the interior: tips

Many houses near Moscow have covered barbecue terraces. At the request of the owners, decorator Irina Kachurina turned one of them into an Arab living room with access to the garden. For this, first of all, the fourth outer wall had to be completed.

Ethnic style

The barbecue oven, located on a large marble slab, has been preserved, turned into a decorative macro-detail of the interior. It is decorated with piece tiles made in the manner of Arab majolica. The marble slab was reinforced with a support bracket made of openwork forging. To convey the feeling of the hot East, the floors were tiled with large tiles and, in accordance with our climate, supplied with heating. Since the furniture, openwork grilles on the radiators, carved arches and cornice on the ceiling are in the color of dark wood, the decorator made the walls light in contrast, with a sand tint. Their embossed plaster surface is decorated with small ceramic panels, matching the style, but made at a Moscow factory.
