Each user understands: any technique can break down. The question is what measures the manufacturer has taken to protect the device as much as possible from a malfunction. The gas boiler is equipped with sensors, each of them monitors the operation of a separate node. In the event of a breakdown, the control module receives a signal, after which it displays a fault code on the display. This is called the self-diagnosis system. Errors “Proterm Lynx” indicate the cause of problems that can be fixed on the spot.
This wall-mounted double-circuit model is designed for space heating and hot water supply. The closed combustion chamber has a fan for the forced removal of smoke. Connects to a coaxial chimney.
With a power of 24–28 kW, the efficiency is 94%. Electronic ignition, flame modulation burner. Regulators allow you to switch modes from “Comfort” to “Economy”. There is also an anti-freeze function when the temperature drops to 5 degrees.
Is there a fault code on the display of the equipment? Restart the boiler, it may be a system failure. If the error recurs, then start looking for the cause to fix the problem.
- Diagnose the ionization electrode and its wiring to the electronic board.
- Unscrew the gas valve, check the shut-off valves.
- Reverse the polarity of the plug in the outlet.
- Restart the device, the thermostat may have overheated.
f2 The heating temperature sensor is defective. Lowering the temperature to 3°C. Inspect the temperature sensor, reconnect the plug to the connector. If you start the equipment in the cold season, warm up the system. f3 Overheat protection has tripped (over 95 degrees). Wait until the values decrease and work is restored. Or reset the fuse. f4 Domestic hot water sensor defective. Perform diagnostics of the part, its wiring. Clean up contacts. f5 The outdoor thermometer is out of order. Check the circuit between the element and the boiler. If everything is in order, install the correct part. f6 The rejection product sensor does not give a signal.
- Inspect the sensor-control module circuit.
- Replace one of the elements.
f7 (f07) Communication problem. Check all wires, contacts, connections. Ring the contacts of the control board. For repair, contact the master. f8 Contacts between NTC sensor and water heater ground are open. Tighten and reconnect connections. Diagnose and replace the sensor. f10/f13 Short circuit (short circuit) of the supply temperature sensor.
- If the NTC is shorted in the heating system, replace it.
- The voltage in the network has dropped. Wait for recovery, contact the utility.
- Short circuit of the plug. Plug in a new plug.
f15 Short circuit of the reverse thrust sensor. Clean all connections between sensor and fan. f20 The temperature limiter fuse has tripped. Run diagnostics:
- Feed thermistor, its circuit.
- pump. Release excess air, clean its parts from blockage.
f22 The system pressure has dropped to 0,3 bar.
Problems with the pressure sensor or pump. Adjust their work, unlock the pump. Replace defective units.
Turn on the feed tap. Make sure the connections are not leaking.
f23 Supply and return sensors give different readings. See solution for f22. Just check thermosensors instead of pressure sensors. f24 The coolant level in the circuit has dropped. The temperature is rising rapidly.
- Incorrect pump installed. Connect another node.
- Lower the air, extend the system.
- Open the shut-off valves, they may not be completely turned off.
f25 Blocking the entry of smoke into the room.
- There is a leak, inspect the chimney seams for leaks.
- Carry out diagnostics of the thermostat for short circuit, open circuit. As well as a fan and an electronic module.
- Make sure you have traction. Clean the chimney, open the damper.
f28 The flame goes out when ignited. What to do:
- Unscrew the shut-off gas valve.
- Bleed the air, restart the boiler.
- Adjust the gas supply.
- Clean the ionization electrode of soot.
- Make sure the grounding is working properly.
- Clean the ignition unit from dust and soot.
f29 The flame went out during operation.
- The pressure in the gas line has dropped. Contact the service.
- Reverse the plug in the socket.
- Clean the burner of soot. First, remove the cover from the device.
f33 “Anti-freeze” mode on.
- Examine the pressure switch. Install the correct model.
- Make sure the fan is working properly. Clean the ventilation and chimney from build-up of ice and snow.
f55 Flue gas exhaust sensor is out of order.
- Clean stuck relays and contactors with fine sandpaper.
- Run diagnostics on the control module.
f62 The fuel supply valve does not work.
- Hold down the restart button.
- Check gas fittings for tightness. Also check the connected electronics.
- Lubricate the valve.
f63 The memory board is defective.
- Power adjustment. To do this, hold down the “+” and “-” keys. Then hold “OK” until the number “0” appears. Set the indicators to 93, confirm the action. Restart the technique.
- Call the wizard to install a new board.
f72 Once a day, the device performs a test comparing the readings of the sensors on the return and supply lines.
- Run controller diagnostics.
- Make sure the pump is working properly.
- Repair sensors on both lines.
- Remove scale from the heat exchanger.
- Clear the clogged water filter.
f73 Problems with the pressure sensor. Reconnect the part. Make sure there is no short or open. f75 Repeat f73. The pump tried to turn on 5 times.
- Bleed the air out of the system.
- Examine the pump.
- Turn on the coolant supply.
See f73.
f83 No liquid in the circuit. The temperature does not rise.
- Add water.
- Make sure there is no leakage in the system or expansion tank.
f84 Inconsistency in readings between NTC2 and NTC5 sensors. See if the parts are connected correctly. Install new ones if broken. f85 Thermistors on the return and flow are out of order.
- Tighten the plugs.
- Raise the circuit temperature.
- Restart boiler.
00 Thermistor is not working. Clean up contact groups. Install new wiring. A6 The temperature in the room is below the standard. Turn on additional radiators for heating. f04 Ionization problems. Open the fuel cock, turn on the restart. f05 Not enough air to sustain combustion. Clean the chimney, arrange ventilation in the room.
How to avoid breakdowns? With the help of prevention and technical inspection. What you can do yourself:
Now that you have some understanding of the error codes, you can start troubleshooting and fixing them. Remember: before starting work, shut off the fuel and water supply. If the equipment is under warranty, it is better to contact the service center.
