Is the I30 error displayed in the Electrolux dishwasher? Do not worry, the fault code will help you quickly find the cause of the breakdown. The interpretation of error 30 sounds like this: overflow protection has worked.
Causes and symptoms of malfunction
You will find a rather dry definition of breakdown in the instructions for the Electrolux dishwasher. But how do you know where to look for the problem?
For what reasons PMM can show error code I30:
- A leak has occurred (hose connections or tank tightness are broken).
- Clogged drain filter or drain system (sewerage).
- Drain pump problems.
- Faulty or clogged inlet valve.
How to determine the breakdown yourself? You will have to check all the details one by one.
How to fix the I30 error
Try to reset the code by restarting the technique:
- pull the plug out of the socket;
- wait 10-15 minutes;
- start PMM again.
If the icon is no longer lit on the screen, then it is a normal system failure. But if it is highlighted again, then check.
All Electrolux brand dishwashers are equipped with a drip tray. At the bottom there is a float sensor, which is triggered by a leak. Your task is to check if there is water in the pan.
How to correct the situation and drain the water:
- Place a container, tilt the dishwasher and drain the water.
- Dry off any remaining moisture.
- Remove the top cover.
- Loosen the screws around the perimeter and remove the side panels.
- Turn on the machine.
While water is being collected, you can check in which part the leak occurred and fix the problem.
Drain system
If the pan is dry, then you need to look for another reason. Check drains and sewers:
- Disconnect the drain hose, check for blockage. You can clean it under the pressure of water.
- Open the mixer tap to full power.
- See how fast the water goes down the drain. If the passage is clogged, use special cleaning products.
In 27% of cases, the I30 code appears due to a clogged drain filter. Therefore, it is recommended to clean twice a month.
Open the hopper door and unscrew the filter and then the mesh behind it. Then inspect the pump impeller. To do this, unscrew and remove the cover (located immediately behind the filter). Then remove debris from the impeller.
The pump itself and pipes are also checked. You can perform an inspection by removing the pallet and disassembling the machine a little. You can read more in the article “How to replace the pump in the dishwasher.”
In the event of a malfunction, the drain pump cannot be repaired. Needs a complete replacement.
intake valve
Fault code I 30 in the PMM “Electrolux” may appear when the water intake valve breaks down. The electrical part can fail (contacts, wiring burned out) or mechanical. The control module sends a signal to the valve, the membrane opens and water intake begins. Then the membrane closes and the water stops flowing.
The valve contacts are called with a multimeter. If breakdowns are found in the electrical or mechanical part, then the part must be replaced.
Now you know what to do if the Electrolux dishwasher gives an I30 error. Inspect and clean the equipment at least once a month, then such problems will not bother you.
What to do if other codes appear on the display, read in a separate article.
