Error F15 in Atlant washing machines – how to fix

What does error F15 Atlant mean: decoding and causes

Fault codes are displayed on the electronic scoreboards of modern SMAs to warn the owner of a breakdown that has occurred. In this case, SM Atlant shows an error because a water leak has occurred.

There are as many as three reasons that could cause the F15 error:

  1. Tank depressurization.
  2. Manhole cuff damage.
  3. Violation of the integrity of the elements that make up the waste water drainage system.

A noticeable sign of breakdown: the washer is leaking.

Independent repair

The Atlant washing machine gives out the F15 code, and you found a puddle on the floor. Fix the problem yourself, without resorting to the help of a wizard. If the display shows F15, you can do the following:

  • Make sure the tank is intact. It is necessary to disassemble the machine and inspect it for damage, cracks, rust, etc. If the tank is destroyed, it needs to be replaced.
  • Check the integrity of the hatch cuff. From prolonged or improper use, the rubber seal may wear out and burst. If the cuff is damaged, it must be replaced in order to reset the errors.
  • Perform a leak test on all elements of the drain system. During the use of the SMA, hoses and pipes could be significantly damaged – burst, crack, break or rub. If you find damaged items, you need to replace them with whole ones.

Important! Less often, the machine may leak due to a breakdown in the drain pump, a detergent cuvette, or leak from the bearing side.

Troubleshooting F15

Now, knowing when the Atlant washing machine shows code F15 on the display, start successively checking all the nodes of the water drain system. If you find unusable parts, change them.

Hoses and fittings

The most common cause of leaks is a violation of the integrity of hoses and pipes. These rubber elements are fragile and wear out quickly, especially if the water is not of the highest quality.

If the cause of the leak is in the water inlet hose, this can be determined even if the CM is not working. Carefully inspect the hose and the place of its connection to the SM body. If the hose is damaged, replace it. If the connection is not secure, change the gasket.

In this case, the AGR will flow during the spin phase or when draining. Check the connection of the hose to the pump, inspect the hose along its entire length.

Did you find a hole or crack? The solution to the problem is to replace the part.

Branch pipes

If you find that the machine is leaking at the stage of pouring water for washing, and after filling the tank, the flow stops, the reason may be in the pipe. It connects the filling valve to the powder cuvette.

You can check the integrity of the assembly by unscrewing the top cover of the washer.

Also, a leak can occur due to drain pipes or water inlets. You need to check them and replace if necessary.

Leaks through the cuff of the hatch

The cuff could be damaged in two ways:

  1. Small sharp objects.
  2. Dry out and crack over time.

If you have time and desire, try to repair the cuff – provided that the damage is small. For these purposes, ordinary rubber bicycle or boat patches are suitable.

But in most cases, it is still better to replace the sealing gum of the Atlant washing machine. Do it as shown in the video:

If all these reasons are excluded, and the Atlant machine continues to flow, then the tank is to blame. How to fix it?

The tightness of the tank can be broken for several reasons:

  • Crack. Requires a complete tank replacement. It is better not to try to seal the crack, it will help for a while.
  • The joints of the halves were leaking. Often the tank consists of 2 parts, between which there is a rubber gasket. If it is worn out, then the tank leaks. In this case, almost complete disassembly of the SM Atlant will be required.

Leakage through the pump

Often Atlant cars leak due to a breakdown of the drain pump. Access to it is also provided through the bottom of the machine. Remove the pump and inspect it. If you find chips and cracks – without hesitation, change the pump to a new one.

Cuvette for detergents

Often the powder receiver causes leaks. Too strong water pressure may be to blame for this – try screwing on the valve, weakening the pressure. If this does not help, the machine is still leaking and F15 is on, inspect the tray. It may have damage around the edges, through which leakage occurs.
