Error E6, H1, H2, E5, HE1, HE2 in the Samsung washing machine

If you see one of the codes on the display: E6, H1, H2, E5, HE1, HE2 – this is a signal of problems with the water temperature.

In Samsung machines without a display, they correspond to the blinking of all indicator lights of washing modes and the backlighting of temperature settings (60 degrees and “Cold water” or simultaneously 60 and 40 degrees).

In outdated versions of Samsung washing machines (which entered the market before 2007), error E5 is used to indicate the same problems.

Error e6 in the Samsung washing machine does not match the fault code 6E.

How does a washing machine work in case of malfunction

Sometimes when washing without heating water, the equipment works out in the normal mode. Error E6 appears only when a program is selected that requires liquid heating.

Usually, the technique gives an error a quarter of an hour after the start. Washing starts normally.

What are the problems

All indicators in this group indicate problems with the water temperature. The Samsung washing machine either does not cope with heating, or the liquid heats up too much. Let’s figure out what each of the additional error codes means.

Error H1 and error HE1 occur in two cases:

  • the washing machine almost boiled the water – it heated up to 95 degrees;
  • the water heats up too quickly (more than 40 degrees in two minutes).

Error H2 and error HE2 signal the opposite complexity: in 10 minutes, the Samsung washing machine could not heat the water by more than 2 degrees, which means that the program cannot be executed in the specified mode.

What to do to fix the machine on your own

Self-repair in case of malfunctions of this group is usually impossible. We will tell you how to fix possible problems before contacting the wizard and try to remove the error without a specialist if the washing machine shows E6 on the display.

Make sure the machine is properly connected to the mains

The washing machine must be connected directly to the mains. Check the integrity of the cord and plug.

Reboot washer

If E6 is displayed for the first time, try to force restart the machine by turning off the power for a few minutes. Power outages can cause the electronics to freeze.

If the error reset does not occur, check other options.

Check plumes

E6 on the scoreboard can be displayed when there is insufficient wire contact. Make sure the connection between the control unit and the heating element is good. The likelihood of this malfunction increases if the washing machine has recently been disassembled.

If you can’t find a solution to the problem yourself, you should contact a technician who knows what to do. Most of the faults of the H group (H1, H2, their counterparts HE1 and HE2), as well as problems with fault codes E5 and E6, cannot be fixed without special skills.

If, after a basic check, the washing machine shows an indicator from the H group, the reboot does not work and E6 is still on the screen – one of the sensors may be faulty, the water heating module has burned out, or its washing machine processor has served its purpose. It will not be possible to do without a professional who knows how to fix problems and replace blocks in technology.
