Causes of a malfunction

The circulation unit fails extremely rarely, therefore, before disassembling and checking the element, you need to check the drain system. A blockage could form in the filter, or the pump impeller could be blocked by debris. For these reasons, the system also displays the code E 20 on the scoreboard.

What could affect the failure of the circulation pump:

1. Power surges in the network could lead to a winding break.
2. Water has entered the electronic parts.
3. The heating element burned out.

To fix the problem, you need to check everything sequentially.

How to fix a breakdown yourself

Immediately try to reset the error, it may just be a system failure. For this:

• unplug the machine;
• wait 10-15 minutes;
• start PMM and look at the screen.

Are the icons showing up again? Then start cleaning the filter. What do we have to do:

1. Open the hopper door.
2. Remove the dish basket.
3. Unscrew the drain filter that is in the pan.
4. Rinse it under the pressure of water or clean it with a brush.
5. Behind the filter is a drain pump.
6. Pump out the water from the hole with a sponge.
7. Loosen the fixing screws.
8. Pull towards you and remove the cover.
9. Check impeller for blockage.

How to understand that the circulation pump is not working: when the PMM is running, you will not hear the block buzzing. To check or replace a part, you need to disassemble the Bosch dishwasher:

1. Remove all baskets from the chamber.
2. Disconnect the machine from communications, pull the plug from the socket.
3. Turn the technique on its back.
4. Unscrew the bolts or unfasten the latches of the bottom panel.
5. Carefully inspect the wiring at the time of burning.
6. Remove the drain pump and heating element, check for operability.

Diagnostics of the parts and winding of the unit is performed by a tester with a multimeter. To do this, the probes are applied to the contacts of the elements, the resistance is measured.
