Error E14 in a Bosch dishwasher means problems with the operation of the water flow sensor. How to fix the problem and restore the operation of the equipment without contacting the service center, read on.
Causes of malfunction
Bosch dishwashers are equipped with self-diagnosis, which makes it easier for the user to find the place of failure. When the machine gives error E 14, the decoding of the value is simple – the flow sensor is out of order. It is responsible for the amount of water collected in the tank and is installed instead of a pressure switch in a technique with a flow heater.
The reason may be not only in the sensor, but also in its wiring. If the connections are broken, the element does not receive signals from the control module.
Error code E14 PMM may show on the display in such cases:
- There is no pressure in the system (or, on the contrary, it is excessive).
- The intake valve has failed.
- The electronic board burned out.
What to do to solve the problem? Let’s take a look at the step by step instructions.
How to fix the problem
To get rid of pressure problems, tilt the car 15-20 degrees to the left for a few minutes. If this approach did not help, rule out a crash in the system, try resetting the icons on the screen:
- disconnect the PMM from the network for 10-15 minutes;
- reconnect after a while.
Is the error still on? Then it’s time to inspect the flow sensor. In the event of a malfunction, it cannot be repaired, only a complete replacement.
Additionally, check the intake hose and its filter:
- disconnect the hose from the housing;
- rinse it and the mesh filter under the pressure of water.
To diagnose the filling valve, you need to understand its location. In Bosch dishwashers, the part is usually located at the bottom, but it happens on top or on the side. To determine the place look at the diagram of your dishwasher. Replacing the valve is easy:
- disconnect the wiring from the part;
- unscrew the fastening screw.
Install the new valve.
Do not forget to disconnect the equipment from electricity before starting work.
It is better to entrust the diagnostics of the control module, and even more so its repair, to a specialist. You can only visually inspect the part and find burnt parts.
Act consistently, then you will be able to calculate the breakdown and fix it yourself.
