Error codes and malfunctions of Kiturami gas boilers

The operation of gas equipment is not always without breakdowns. Therefore, manufacturers have developed a self-diagnosis system. Special sensors control the operation of each node in the structure. In the event of a breakdown, the error codes of the Kiturami boilers are displayed on the display. Each symbol indicates a specific failure. We will show you how to deal with the problem yourself.

The device and principle of operation of Kiturami boilers

The Korean brand “Kiturami” produces powerful heating equipment. Devices can compete with other famous brands. The model range is represented by mounted and floor units.

Wall-mounted boilers are attractive due to their compact size. They can be placed in any non-residential premises: kitchen, corridor. Floor options require a separate room (boiler room). But you can count on high performance.

High power – from 13 to 470 kW – allows Kiturami appliances to heat residential and industrial premises.

Models differ in the type of combustion chamber. The closed type is connected to a coaxial pipe, which is led outside through a hole in the wall. The turbocharged burner takes air from the street, and the built-in fan forcibly removes the smoke to the outside.

An open chamber is connected to a stationary chimney. The flame in the burner is maintained by air intake from the room.

By the number of circuits, Kiturami offers single and double circuit models. Devices with a single circuit work exclusively to heat the coolant for heating. Double-circuit provide hot water supply (DHW) and heating.

Errors and malfunctions

02There is a false signal about the presence of a flame.What to check:

05The overheating thermostat has failed.

Some boilers include a seismic sensor. During an earthquake, it blocks the operation of the device. Check it for correctness.

Remove scale from the heat exchanger. Remove it from the housing and flush with the reagent. At home, use citric acid. Turn on the drink.

06There is no connection with the operation of the fan.

Inspect the fan blades, its wiring, the tightness of the connection. Check the differential relay, its contacts for sticking, as well as the Hall sensor.

If power surges are observed in the network, connect a stabilizer.

07Malfunctions with the exhaust system of combustion products.Run diagnostics:
  • Fan. If it runs at too high or low speed, replace it.
  • Outlet pipes. Condensation often accumulates in the folds, which must be removed.

It is important that the height of the chimney pipe is respected: 50 cm or more from the roof ridge. On a flat or combined roof 1-2 meters. Otherwise, the wind will blow out the flame in the burner.

When the device is turned on and the CTR-5700 controller is started, the device does not respond. The lights don’t come on and it doesn’t start.

  • Make sure there is mains voltage. Plug any appliance into a power outlet.
  • If it works, inspect the boiler, if not, then call an electrician.

The outdoor regulator CTR-5700 functions but the batteries are cold.

Probably, the coolant does not move well through the system:

  • Open the fuel cock.
  • Check that the circulation pump is working properly.
  • Adjust speed settings.

Model problems WORLD PLUS, WORLD 5000

The “Network” diode on the control unit does not light up.

Check:

  • Is food served.
  • Is the ignition transformer working, fuse.

The light is on to indicate that there is not enough water.

  • Turn on the make-up, fill the circuit with liquid.
  • Repair contacts and wiring between sensor and panel.

The LED lights up to indicate overheating. The gas boiler is not working.

  • Adjust the shutoff valves.
  • Rinse the water filter from clogging.
  • Repair, unlock the pump.

The “Safety” diode lit up. Cause: The pressure in the line has dropped. Fuel does not enter the burner.

Long pump operation. The temperature light on the panel is on.

  • Check if water flows through the heat exchanger normally.

The burner is working, but the temperature is gaining very slowly.
