The inability to achieve or maintain an erection is not exclusive to older men. It increasingly affects very young people and becomes a source of frustration for both partners. Apart from physical problems, such as various types of diseases related to e.g. circulation or weakness of the whole body due to the lack of certain vitamins or microelements, one of the most common causes of erection problems is excessive and prolonged stress.
We live in times when everyday life exposes us to many nervous situations. Most often, it is the engaging work that is to blame, which translates into problems at home and, consequently, also in bed. When faced with work commitments or personal issues, it’s hard to focus on sex and keep your arousal going.
Sometimes it even seems that the desire for sex is there, but the mental block does not allow you to achieve a full erection. With subsequent times, there is also the fear of another failure and disappointment of the partner, which additionally contributes to the deepening of the problem. In this way, a closed circle is created and it becomes more and more difficult to get the desire to play in bed.
Since stress is the cause of failure, it is worth taking care of your psyche and trying to fight the tension. There are many simple ways to deal with stress.
Below are some of them:
- Drink orange juice — scientists from the University of Alabama discovered that vitamin C reduces the secretion of stress hormones. So drink two glasses of orange juice a day and you will complete your daily requirement for this ingredient.
- Hug – in many stores you can find soft balls to squeeze into fists or metal balls to play with in your hands. By tensing your hand muscles in a stressful situation, you will quickly achieve a sense of relaxation.
- Make bends – this simple exercise involves spreading your legs wide and bending them slightly at the knees to bend. Your hands should hang freely between your feet. Breathe through your diaphragm for a few minutes, then slowly, vertebra by vertebra, straighten your back.
- Move – cardio physical exercises, i.e. running, swimming or cycling, effectively relieve tension and additionally strengthen the muscles and contribute to the secretion of happiness hormones.
- scream – but not on family and friends, but in a confined space, eg when driving a car. Put on your favorite energetic music and scream to your heart’s content. You will quickly feel all the anger coming out of you!
- Touch and hug your partner – nothing has a calming effect like the touch of a loved one. In addition, it increases resistance to stress and lowers blood pressure.
- eat fish – unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids can reduce the number of anger attacks in nervous people by as much as 20%.
