But epileptoids and just true comrades. Their friendship is strong. They can be friends from the pot to the grave. Often their friendship is military, trench: Afghans or veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Epileptoids of friends do not change, do not change them, unlike hyperthyms and paranoid ones. They can cheat on a wife, but not on a friend. If a friend commits meanness, cheats in friendship, for an epileptoid, this is a drama. What then can be believed? They help each other in trouble, in joy, in promotion.
The proverb “an old friend is better than two new ones” is more suitable for an epileptoid than for other psychotypes. For comparison, we recall: the inverse of this proverb would suit the paranoid: “a new friend is better than the old two.” Epileptoids make friends selectively. They have a hard time meeting new people. This well-known poem by Omar Khayyam suits them:
To wisely live life, it is necessary to know a lot,
Just remember one truth to begin with:
You better starve, than what horrible there is,
And it’s better to be alone than with anyone.
But if the case requires, then they will converge. This friendship is based on fidelity to the ideal, to the cause, to the leader. Communication with friends, however, due to employment happens infrequently: on business, on holidays. But then they are specially prepared for this: a good table, a drink to solemnly celebrate the meeting.
Reliability
The epileptoid is a reliable person, he keeps his promises. The psychastenoid is also reliable, but due to its lower energy content, the psychastenoid can do little. The paranoid, in contrast to the epileptoid, is treacherous, hyperthymia forgets about promises and obligations, although, upon demand, he begins to fussily fulfill them. The hysteroid finds a lot of reasons why he cannot fulfill his promises.
So the epileptoid is the most reliable. Well, not without sin, he can be cunning, not like a psychasthenoid. But psychastenoid is less effective. So, given all this, you can still count on an epileptoid. The most reliable.
An epileptoid can be trusted with secrets. He will not spread them “in secret to the whole world”, as a hysteroid will do, and will not just chat, without thinking about what reveals other people’s secrets entrusted to him, as hyperthyms will do.
An epileptoid, if he feels a desire to share someone else’s secret with someone, will first reveal his own. And regarding the secrets of the other, he will think like this: “If I reveal his secret and it reaches him, he will no longer trust me and, moreover, will have legal claims against me, which will greatly worsen our relationship, so it’s better to restrain ourselves.” And if, for the sake of business, it is necessary to include information about someone in the discussion, the epileptoid will ask him if it is possible, and without asking and without receiving permission, he will not give information.

Trust ===
The epileptoid trusts his secrets to other people far from immediately, he checks the reliability of a friend. He will not immediately invite a new acquaintance to his home, but will meet him several times outside the house. Because for him «my home is my castle.» He will not reveal anything about himself that could compromise him. If someone proposes to bypass even an unfair law in any way, the epileptoid will check the person many times on trifles, whether he is a snitch. Even with his wife, the epileptoid does not immediately introduce his new comrades — and suddenly they will take him away!
If the epileptoid nevertheless trusted, then this means trust. And then he can «relax», which is sometimes used by hysterical and paranoid manipulators. Unlike the epileptoid, the paranoid one is almost always on the alert, he does not relax.
And if a friend has abused the secret, the epileptoid will take revenge.
Revenge
In general, the epileptoid is vindictive in moderation. He is vindictive because he is vindictive. True, he will not specially prepare revenge, but he will remember the evil and, if possible, will repay, in extreme cases, he will hit even the recumbent offender with harsh words “do you remember?”. He will take revenge openly, and not surreptitiously substituting his leg, as a hysteroid can do. However, if a person repents, the epileptoid will forgive — but not immediately. For him, forgiveness is a process.
