Epilation with wax strips: video reviews
Veet strips are an inexpensive and quick way to get rid of unwanted hair. However, they are not suitable for everyone. In addition, neat striping of hair requires some skill.
Veet strips – who and what they are suitable for
Wax strips have appeared in the arsenal of cosmetologists for a long time. Their convenience is that they can be used to remove not only hair on the arms and legs, but also in intimate areas, armpits and on the face. There are also disadvantages to this. The strips, which are produced for mass sales, are smeared with a fairly thin layer of wax. It will not work to remove thick coarse hair with their help. But if the hairs are thin and do not grow often, the strips will do their job perfectly.
Treat sensitive skin after epilation with oil and cream such as “Bepanten” or “Rescuer” to avoid irritation.
The low price of packaging makes epilation with Veet strips more and more popular. However, not everyone succeeds in getting perfectly smooth skin the first time. This happens because the girls do not know how to use the strips correctly.
What you need to know about hair removal:
- hair length should be at least three millimeters (the longer the better)
- hair should not be very thick (it is painful to epilate too hairy parts of the body with strips, but it will not work out to make the skin perfectly smooth)
- the strips must be chilled, otherwise the wax will not stick (take them out of the box, rub a little in the palms of your hands)
- the room should not be too hot (at temperatures above 25 degrees, the wax begins to melt, sticks to the legs and does not hold the hairs)
- the strip must be glued according to hair growth, and torn off – against the growth
- one strip can be used several times until it stops pulling out hairs
- to make epilation less painful, wipe the skin with lidocaine, it is sold in any pharmacy
- after epilation, be sure to wipe the skin with oil or special wipes to avoid irritation
If you are using the wax strips for the first time, start at your feet. It is much easier to epilate them than armpits or arms. This experience will help you understand how the wax strips work.
The more often you use Veet wax strips instead of a razor, the less often your hair will grow back. The fact is that when waxing, the hairs often pop out along with the bulb, which takes a very long time to recover or does not grow at all. Each time, the number of hairs decreases. And if they are quite thin and rare by nature, then in a year and a half you can get rid of the vegetation completely.
