Is sport the same health? Medicine tells us more and more clearly that not always and not in every case. Playing sports is associated with the risk of various types of injuries, including, for example, injuries to muscles and joints. Unfortunately, they are always accompanied by severe pain. Sounds dangerous? There is really nothing to fear. If you observe your body, follow the trainer’s recommendations and know how to prevent various types of strains and overloads, then sport is for you!
First, let’s explain why injuries occur during training. When jogging or training in the gym, we perform the same movements many times, often exposing our musculoskeletal system to high forces and overloads, and consequently causing the risk of injuries. In places where injuries have arisen, we feel severe pain, which is the main reason for stopping what we like to do the most – practicing a given sports discipline. What to do when we love sports, physical activity and pain prevents us from exercising?
First, prevent
remember about such an important and neglected element of training as warm-up. Thanks to it, our muscles become more flexible and the joints begin to work more efficiently. The warm-up must be adapted to the type of exercise that we have planned, i.e. it must include those groups of muscles and joints that we train, e.g. when we want to strengthen the thighs, at the beginning of the exercises we focus on this part of the muscles.
After two o’clock, react quickly
in case of pain, try proven and modern solutions. Effective painkillers will protect you from pain and thus give you the chance to enjoy sports for many days. The most common preparations in the form of ointments and gels are available in pharmacies. The selected agent must be slowly and effectively rubbed into the skin and wait for the results. But you can also make your task easier and use modern solutions, e.g. Elmetacin® in the form of an aerosol. Elmetacin® contains indomethacin, which has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anti-swelling properties. Elmetacin® is a convenient method of use – aerosol (without the need to rub), and proven analgesic effect in the following states:
- related to acute injuries;
- injuries, e.g. bruises, dislocations;
- in inflammation in the area of e.g. joints, tendons and joint capsules.
You can use Elmetacin® safely – the preparation works locally, exactly where pain and inflammation are localized.
Third, keep practicing unhindered
The use of preparations such as, for example, Elmetacin® will help you get rid of pain quickly and effectively and get back into good shape. It will be up to you to keep it at a high level. So remember to finish each workout with stretching. Why is it so important? Stretching after intense exercise reduces muscle tension and allows your muscles to regenerate better. This is one of the additional solutions contributing to the prevention of injuries and reducing the risk of injury. Just spend 10-20 minutes stretching after each workout. The time expenditure is small and the benefits are huge.
