Enjoy epilation

Prepare

Before any hardware epilation, it is necessary to let the hair grow back, and on the eve of the procedure, shave it off with a regular razor. The ideal state on the day of the procedure is slight roughness. Another condition is smooth skin, there should be no wounds or cuts on it. If it is difficult to outline the lines of hair removal in the bikini area, you can entrust this matter to the doctor: he will shave off unnecessary hairs and give shape.

Anesthesia

Epilation in the armpit area takes an average of 15 minutes, in the bikini area – about 20 minutes, and the legs are usually given about an hour. During the procedure, there is usually a slight tingling sensation, but painful sensations may also appear. To avoid these, your doctor may apply a local anesthetic. Indispensable for those who cannot stand pain, EMLA cream is a combination of lidocaine and prilocaine. This tool has long and successfully been used in cosmetology for anesthetizing the skin before mesotherapy, tattooing and injections, as well as for epilation.

For the anesthesia to work in full force, you need to apply the cream abundantly, cover it on top with plastic wrap and after about an hour, remove the remaining cream with a napkin. Try applying EMLA cream on your skin before epilation, and you will be amazed at how much easier and more pleasant this procedure will be for you!

EMLA is present in the beautician’s arsenal, but it can also be used at home, for example, before hair removal with an epilator or wax, or for self-preparation for hardware procedures in the salon.

Number of treatments

On average, to completely get rid of unnecessary vegetation, you will need to do eight procedures, but six are enough. The first three to four procedures are done about once a month. Then – once every three months, and then – once every six months. After completing the course, the procedure will need to be repeated only after eight months.

* Before using the EMLA preparation, carefully read the instructions. There are contraindications for use.
