Endermology

Hormonal disorders that directly or indirectly affect the function of the gonads.

Etiol. and DL: FSH, LH and testosterone levels should be determined in patients with hypoplastic testes and severe oligozoospermia. A decreased level of FSH and LH is an indication for a GnRH test. Oligozoozspermia is most often the result of primary nuclear hypogonadism as indicated by high serum FSH levels. The increase in FSH levels is due to inhibition of inhibin synthesis in the testes, which leads to the deactivation of negative feedback. Serum FSH levels correlate with the degree of testicular damage. In secondary hypogonadism, FSH and LH secretion is insufficient even in the presence of normal GnRH stimulation. Another type of endocrine disorders is the lack of hypothalamic stimulation of FSH and LH secretion. A normal pituitary response to exogenous GnRH is characteristic. An example of this type of disorder is Kallman’s syndrome.
